Has to be ultimate spider man miles morales #4.
I mean my library is well over 650 nearing 700 and this one is the best of em all. I must say that the way the ultimate spider men old and new have come together is just brilliant.

I just wanted to get this out there because I think the ultimate spider man comic is overlooked especially since peter died, but there are soo many reasons to keep reading whether its the new ultimates or peter parker or even miles morales himself. Not to mention spider-verse is about ready for kickoff meaning miles and jessica are going to make an appearance in 313. Stay tuned true believers

Okay, if you havent read (this is a naruto forum so im assuming most havent) the ultimate spider man series I recommend that you do. Stop reading this right now and go do that.
Anyway, the ultimate spider man miles morales comic is only four issues deep and is already probably my favorite series to date.
But before I can really get into it you must understand how it originated.
So years ago marvel felt 313 was getting a little stale, so to shake things up the came up with the ultimate universe and ultimately the ultimate spider man. The ultimate spider man started with that same old young peter parker becomes spider man and falls in love with mary jane nutshell ( idc imo never gets old ) and developes into peter parker still in high school and being acknowledged by captain america (sort of).
But cap never has time for peters training so nothing really changes until the sinister six break out of jail together and go after peters family, at this time peter who has just taken a bullet through the stomach that was really meant for cap, hauls ass back to his house to find the sinister six beating down iceman and johnny storm (who live with peter. pretty cool right) right on peters doorsteps. A super epic 6 v 1 showdown ensues ( must read!! Even if you havent any interest in the series but are a fan of spider man pick up ultimate spider man 155-160 crazy good!!!), and peter uses his last bit of strength to smash the green goblin ( who is just beast.) With a truck that blows peter and normie up. Peter then slowly fades away in the arms of mj and aunt may.
Jameson who actually learns peter parker is spider man feels all kinds of responsible for peters death and prints this huge thank you/obituary to peter letting the world know he was spider man, making all of new york love him and respect his sacrifice.
Meanwhile on the other side of new york young miles morales gets bit by another one of the spiders oscorp mutated, ( miles' uncle was a cat burglar and stole from oscorp, the spider was mixed into the stuff he stole and get loose in his apartment. Miles comes over boom spider powers.)
Miles was bitten just before peter died so he feels a bit responsible since he hid his powers when he could have helped. Miles then tries to honor peters memory by becoming spider man. captain america still feeling responsible for peters death takes miles under his wing and pairs him with spider woman jessica drew ( who is actually a clone of peter parker and an agent of shield and part of the ultimates). Miles steps up and helps the ultimates (basically the avengers with a differant name and look) and is finally acknowledged by everyone. With all the fame miles is gaining venom finds out miles indentity and comes after him resulting in his moms death.
After the death of his mom miles quits the super hero thing for a year but jessica finally gets him back into it. And when cap and thor die the new ultimates are formed consisting of spider woman who now goes by the name black widow, cloak and dagger, kitty pride, lana baumgartner aka boom and of course miles.
(Marvel just recently launched the new ultimates series and at the same time they relaunched ultimate comics spider man: miles morales.)
Now this is the series that I want to talk about, ultimates comics spider man: miles morales. The title and the fact that they relaunched simply to put miles name in the title made me think there may possibly be a ultimate comics spider man: peter parker in the near future, but thats ridiculous, to have them bring peter back after such a definitive death and even if the wanted to how would they do it?

so at this point shield has been dismantled, cap is dead and the ultimates have also fallen apart. Norman, who has been in shield custody since spidermans death, is now being transferred from shield to anlower level facility. Miles is contemplating whether he should tel his new girlfriend katie that he is spider man. Norman who is one of the strongest beings in the ultimate universe breaks out of jail, miles on the other hand returns how well to his old now abandon home to see if his dad who left because he found out miles is spider man is there only to find peter himself rummaging around looming for his webshooters that aunt may gave to miles.

Issue #2
Miles is dumbstruck, after miles has met peters whole family and has decide to don the mask in his honor feels peter owes him an explaination. Peter who is probably only thinking about stopping norman, has no time for such things and quickly pummels miles, but not before tasting miles venom blast and actually complimenting him on the new ability only to knock miles out the second he lowers his gaurd and take his web shooters.

Issue #3
Miles, still reeling from his encounter with peter, decides to confide in gank his best friend and ask for advice. Katie miles' girlfriend shows up making things very awkward, katie realizing this decides to leave and miles in the heat of the moment reveals that he is spider man. Katie doesnt know how to take it since her parents are super anti mutant and runs away. Miles is about to chase after her when he gets an urgent email NORMAN OSBORN HAS ESCAPED! miles immediately goes to peters old house where aunt may and gwen stacey live only to find the green goblin.

Issue #4
Miles holds his own against the goblin but the goblin is way out of his league, and begins to take the upper hand. At this point the whole world is watching, emergency news reports on every tv and a helicopter live at the scene dictating the action. Miles is down and goblin is standing over him ready to finish him when off from the side comes a typical spider man quip that has been missing from this universe for far too long. The original spider man shows up as mj, jonah, aunt may and gwen stacey huddle around their tvs. The 3 fight for a bit and miles manages to give norman a heavy dose of his venom blast sending normie running scared. The two spider men are cornered by police and the final panel shows aunt may in tears saying theres no doubt that peter is back.
