Chapter VIII: Arrival
Kiwii woke with a start! He looked around in shock for a moment and then calmed himself. He was confused, however, as to how he was in this room, a marvelous, dim lit, noble, and somewhat unfurnished, master bedroom with a curtain-closed balcony by the side of the room. Kiwii sneezed and a few bugs flew out of his nose.
Kiwii: C’mon, guys. Back inside -_-
The bugs flew into Kiwii’s nose and entered back into his body system. The comforter shifted to Kiwii’s right, much to his disclosure. He slowly turned to his right, only to notice Goro sleeping in the same bed next to him. Kiwii leaped out of the bed violently, waking Goro!!
Kiwii: WHATT THE HELLLLLLL?!!!?!?!?!?!?! :crazy: What in the world is this?!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Goro: Huh?!
What’s the big deal. Why the heck are you shouting? *yawn*
Kiwii:
why are you in MY bed?!?!?!
Goro: WHAT?! o_o
Kiwii: You sick pervert!!! AHHHH! *runs out of the room*
Goro: Hmm…I wonder what he meant by that 0_o
Kiwii jolted out of the room loudly, alerting Hiruzen to rush out of his room into the hallway with his kunai pointed at Kiwii in surprise.
Kiwii: Ahh! O.O It’s me, Kiwii!
Hiruzen: Why the hell are you yelling, Kiwii?!
Kiwii: I should be asking you why you have your kunai with you?!
Hiruzen: I always sleep with a kunai handy. -.O
Kiwii: Good to know ._.
Ace slowly opened his door, scratching his tired eyes.
Ace: What’s goin’ on, guys? ~_~
Smoke erupted between the three ninja and caused them all to cough. When the smoke cleared, Roku was standing, wearing a new set of Kiyoshi master robes with a fiery, energy pattern and sandals. He was holding a scroll.
Roku: Sup, guys? ^_^
Ace: Captain Roku? ~_~ What’s going on?
Kiwii: Yeah, and why was Goro in MY Bed?!?!?!??!?!?!?!
Roku: I put him there O_O
Kiwii: WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!
Roku: Ehh…I like messing you with guys
Kiwii: Whaaaaaaa?! O_____O
Roku: Anyway, when you guys get settled, come meet me by the tranquil pond. *disappears*
Hiruzen: I’m going back to sleep. -.-
About two hours passed. Roku was standing in the middle of a garden with a small stream flowing graciously through it. The koi fish swam freely in the pond nearby. Roku took a sip from his sake cup and looked ahead. Goro, Hiruzen, Kiwii, and Ace came walking toward Roku, prepared to continue the mission.
Ace: So why’d you call us here, cap’n? O_O
Roku: Well, Yoshino’s medics did an autopsy on Wrath, and we discovered something very crucial. *performs handseals*
Roku placed his hand on the ground and summoned Wrath’s body.
Goro: *gasp* O-O
Roku: It turns out that Wrath’s body was and is still being used as a way of tracking us.
Goro: They’re tracking us? O_O How?!
Hiruzen: They must have a sensor ninja with them.
Roku: Exactly. Even though Wrath is dead, however, a signature of chakra is still on him, thus allowing the Swordsmen to track us easily and eventually catch up to us.
Kiwii: Crap O_O So we’ve got the Seven Swordsmen on our tails. This isn’t good.
Roku: Actually…we could use this to our advantage *smirks*
Hiruzen: How so? And what about that “meeting to attend” you talked about? O_O
Roku: Yes. In one more day, a secret meeting is being held at Peace Stronghold Gorge. A meeting of the most powerful shinobi in the world.
Ace: The Kages? O_O
Roku: No, not the Kages. Believe it or not, the Kages are not always the most powerful shinobi in the world.
Ace: True, but who could be more powerful than the current Kages?
Roku: The Sages.
Kiwii: O_O Huh? What’re we talking about again?
Ace: *sigh* Pay attention.
Roku: -.- Anyway, the Sages are an ancient Order of unimaginably powerful ninja who have achieved what we call “Sage Mastery” over a specific element. Sage mastery is defined as absolute knowledge and ability in a particular skill. Take Rei, for example. She had incredible skill with medical ninjutsu and chakra control; however, she was not a Sage. The Sages are mostly based around the 5 Elements and are quite few, like Kages. A Sages’ ability with just one element can potentially surpass that of a Kage’s full ability. And, tomorrow, all of the Sages are meeting in a remote location hidden from society to discuss the current state of the world.
Ace: Sounds unbelievable to me =/
Roku: You’ll just have to see. I looked up to them when I was a young ninja.
Kiwii: How’d you know of them, then? O_O
Roku: My own brother was one of them. O_O
Hiruzen: Woah! I’d hate having a brother that strong. He’d beat you up daily O_O

Goro: I get it! So you intend to use Wrath as bait for them to follow us all the way to Peace whatever stronghold so that there, the Sages can all take those Swordsmen down. O_O
Roku: Bright as always, Goro.
Kiwii: But won’t they realize it’s a trap?
Roku: We can’t be too sure. But if they think it is, then all the more reason for them to come. After all, the Swordsmen always have reinforcements ready. We’ve got nothing to lose. Now, let’s get going. Caliburn’s at the gate, eager to go.
ELSEWHERE, IN A LOCATION NOT TOO FAR FROM THE KIYOSHI SETTLEMENT
Kaito: U_U *senses chakra* Wrath’s chakra signal has suddenly reappeared, and now it’s moving.
Alimujtaba: Are you sure we should keep following them? It could be a trap.
Ingwer: Ali’s got a good point.
Kaito: Oh I’m well aware that it’s a trap. It doesn’t matter. We have the ultimate mist battalion following our lead. Once we arrive, they too will be there and Roku’s team won’t stand a chance no matter what type of trap they put us in.
Kaito and his group of Swordsmen disappeared to chase after Roku’s group. The wind blew for a moment and then a large gust swept across the area. A tree swayed left and right, and from the bark emerged a head. It was the head of a man with green hair and yellow eyes, with half of his skin black and the other half white. He was merged with the tree.
???: Oh boy. It looks as if this war is on the very brink of occurrence.
???: Indeed
ONE DAY LATER
Yasuragi Honkyo
A beautiful oasis located in Yasuragi Valley between two mellifluous rivers in the Land of Skies. For years, it has been a location for some Sage meetings due to its remote location and the security provided by the pirates of Yasuragi Valley. It would be foolish for anyone to enter unannounced without an army behind them.
Kiwii, Ace, Roku, Goro, and Hiruzen were walking on a river leading to the entrance of the stronghold. They stepped onto land and approached the gatekeeper, who had a black half and a white half. His face was covered by a venus flytrap-like plant.
Roku: It’s been a while, hasn’t it, Emperor. O_O
Emperor’s venus flytrap opened up and he looked shocked.
Emperor: Sensei? O_O It truly has been a while. Who’re they? O_O
Roku: They’re with me. O_O
Emperor: Sorry…As gatekeeper, I cannot allow any of you in here.
Kiwii: why not?! O_O
Emperor: Sages and their apprentices only. And don’t any of you lie. I can tell if you’re lying. -.O
Roku: In terms of apprentices, Caliburn’s with me for the time being. Hiruzen and Goro are with Bsama. But, Kiwii and Ace are on my team, and therefore they should be allowed in.
Emperor: White Half: Hrmm…very well then. You can all enter. *opens gate*
Black Half: Welcome to Yasuragi Honkyo. Enjoy your stay :|
As Roku walked in, he was given a haori to wear that was white with golden trimmings and a blend of intrinsic patterns near each sleeve. On the back of his haori was a Kanji that read “Musical Sun”. The inside of the stronghold was large and almost out of this world. Diamond sculptures, indoor waterfalls, contained fires, rock tablets, icicles, and metallic structure made the place very unique. Everyone entered the inner chamber, a large dome-shaped room with the walls depicting the ninja world all around. In the center of the room was a large round table, made entirely of unbreakable glass, and eight seats, each a different color for their respective sage. At the head of the table was a brown chair, and in it, the Grandmaster Sage wearing his rocky-patterned brown haori. Roku took his seat. Everyone had arrived and took their seats: one was a short, silver haired guy wearing a Yin-Yang robe, another was Elias wearing a red robe, another was Hellsbadass wearing a blue, another had black hair, black eyes, and was wearing a yellow haori, another had black hair and dark-blue eyes with a cold stare, and the last to sit was Ragnaroc who was wearing a grayish-white robe. The Grandmaster Sage took role.
Bishamon: Grandmaster Sage and Earth Sage, Bishamon Sarutobi, present. Water Sage.
Hellsbadass: Present :|
Bishamon: Fire Sage.
Elias: Elias Shumoto, here…
Bishamon: Wind Sage.
