The 6th Great Ninja War
Chapter II: The Shattered Bones
Roku, Goro, Kiwii, Hiruzen, and Ace were on the road toward Kumogakure, somewhere in The Land of Rice Fields. The area was nice: still stormy but the copious number of trees and cherry blossom trees made up for the gloomy atmosphere. Three days had passed. The team continued walking for a few hours, and eventually stopped to take a break by a riverside. Kiwii lay on the grassy riverbank while everyone else sat on a rock or the ground. Roku took out one of his notebooks and wrote something down.
Roku: It?s only a matter of time now. We?ve encountered a few thieves here and there, but so far, nothing major. *closes notebook* Stay alert, Hiruzen.
Hiruzen: O_O
Hiruzen turned around and saw a gang of four men standing with knives pointed at the Leaf shinobi. They were each wearing raggedy clothing with no shoes at all and had scruffy hair and thick beards.
Thief 1: These guys look rich. Give us your money!
Ace starred blankly at them, as if disappointed.
Ace: I?m guessing they?ve never seen a shinobi before?
Goro: -smh- Probably not.
Thief 2: Now wait a minute. We?ve taken down plenty of ninja! Those D-rank mission sucker Genin get stuck with solo-jobs to deliver goods to a nearby settlement, and we raid em?. Now, you all will make us pretty darn rich!!
Kiwii grabbed a kunai with rapid speed and tossed it at one of the thieves, hitting him dead in the torso. The thief yelled in pain and ripped the kunai out.
Thief 3: You?ll pay for that!!
Kiwii: Will I? :|
Kiwii leaped into the air, towards the thieves, and landed between the four of them. He kicked one to the right, and then another tried to stab him from behind, but Kiwii caught the knife and flipped that thief on the ground. The other two attack simultaneously, however Kiwii?s reaction was too fast for either of them to perceive and he struck them both in the guts with his fists, knocking them out
Goro: Oh shit?o_o
Kiwii: Piece of cake ^_^ *dusts hands off* Those guys didn?t know what?
Roku: What?re you doing, idiot?!
Kiwii looked surprised for a moment, and suddenly a woman wearing a headband for Kumogakure appeared behind him, ready to slice him in half with her sword without a moment?s notice before Kiwii could even react. The woman slashed but was blocked by another sword, made entirely of bone. Kiwii fell to the ground as he realized what happened and looked behind him. His heart stopped and sweat began to drop down his face to his neck. Kiwii looked up to see Goro, clashing with the Kumogakure female whilst wielding his bone sword.
Goro: Stay out of the way, and you won?t get hurt. In a mission like this, you must not let your guard down.
Goro overpowered the woman for a moment and then grabbed Kiwii and withdrew. Everyone regrouped and prepared to get into their regular battle formation, but Goro stopped them. Lightning struck and thunder boomed.
Goro: I?ll handle this one on my own, if that?s all right Captain Roku.
Hiruzen: Are you sure that?s such a good idea, G?
Ace: Yeah. We have the advantage. Let?s use it.
Goro: *looks at Roku*
Roku: ?go ahead. We?ll be here, in case you need us. Just don?t die.
Ace: Captain Roku, what?re you talking about?! We can?t let G face this lady on his own! We don?t even know how strong she is. If he can?t take her, he?ll?
Roku: I have faith in Goro. *smirks* He?ll be alright.
Goro: *smiles* Thanks, Roku. *turns to woman* Shall we continue?
???: *nods* Of course.
The woman and Goro charged at each other again and prepared to clash weapons, but then Goro started spinning as he chanted?
Goro: Karamatsu no Mai (Dance of the Larch)
The woman?s eyes widened and he tried to back away, but Goro was able to scratch her slightly, making a small cut on the Kumogakure female?s arm.
???: A Kaguya in Konoha. I never would have suspected. *forms handseals rapidly and holds both hands out* Raiton: Gian!
The woman?s hands began to spark with lightning and immediately shot two spears of powerful lightning at Goro, to which Goro reacted by quickly slamming his hands on the ground.
Goro: Bone Shield!
The ground beneath Goro rippled and sprung forth multiple large bone structures that surrounded him in a small but powerful dome made entirely of his bones. The lightning attack collided with the prison, doing severe damage to the prison, but not enough to take it down completely. Goro took a sigh of relief.
Goro: That was a close one. Hmm?that attack was pretty strong. I?ve got to think of a move that?ll be effective. *thinks* Maybe?I?ll give it a shot.
Goro formed several handseals and activated a technique without saying a word. The bone shield suddenly came down.
???: So you decided to come out of hiding.
Goro: Yeah?may I ask you what you name is?
???: Why?
Goro: Nothing. Just common courtesy!!
As Goro said that, he flung his open-hand out and released 5 finger bone bullets at the Kumogakure ninja, who dodged each one of them with relative ease.
Goro: Got skill at ducking and avoiding, eh? Well let?s see how you handle this?Finger Bullet Madness!
Goro threw his arms out again, but in a wider arc, and this time released a massive number of finger bullets that rapidly shot at the Kumogakure woman. The Kumogakure shinobi quickly pulled out her sword and it glowed red for a moment, allowing her to block each and every bullet with incredible speed. As the last bullet came in front of the ninja, she flipped directly over it and landed with intense grace, bringing her sword down in an arc with her. Goro looked surprised. Lightning struck again.
???: Common courtesy, huh. Looks like you're lacking some. The name?s Akiza. Akiza of Kumogakure.
Goro: Akiza, huh?
Akiza: Yes. And for you, Kaguya, Goro?this is the end of the line. U_U
Goro: What?
Akiza: Fuuton: Ryuushi Bunsan (Wind Style: Particle Dispersion)
The wind picked up and Akiza?s image started to fade away. Once she completely disappeared, she reappeared behind him in an instant, concentrated lightning charged in her right hand. Before Goro could even react, Akiza ripped her hand through his heart, blood emptying out of the wound and hitting the ground harshly, and some of the blood splattered in Akiza?s face. She smirked
Akiza: It?s finished >:}
Hiruzen: GORO!!!
Hiruzen rushed toward his friend but was immediately stopped by Roku!
Roku: Don?t move!!
Hiruzen: But!!!!! Goro is?
Roku: Capable of defeating her. Just keep watching. It?s nearing checkmate.
Goro?s face froze. He began to pale and his skin and clothes became rough, turning rigid and white until he began to crumble. It wasn?t Goro at all! Akiza was in shock and panicked as she realized that she had just stabbed a bone clone. The ground rumbled and started to crack. Then, parts of the earth rose, shaped like hands, and grabbed Akiza on her appendages, pulling her to the ground. Goro?s voice suddenly echoed throughout the battlefield. Lightning struck.
Goro: Kuchiyose: Mjollnir Hanma no Hekireki Tenshu (Summoning Technique: Mjollnir Hammer of the Thunder God)!!
Goro appeared from the ground, to Akiza?s right, wielding a devastatingly large and heavy-looking metallic hammer with lightning relentlessly surging through it. Akiza resisted bondage but could not escape.
Akiza: How did you manage to do this?!
Goro: It was quite simple, really. When I was in that little bone prison, I made my bone clone and went underground using Underground Fish Projection, an Earth Style technique. I lured you in using the bone clone and then bound you to the ground with those giant Earth hands. That technique is called Ri-chi Yori Yomi (Reach from the Underworld). This here is my hammer, Mjollnir. And in one strike, you will disappear with the thunder.
Lightning struck rampantly!
Goro: Farewell, Cloud Ninja.
Goro thrust his hammer into Akiza, creating a massive crater in the ground, and when the hammer made contact as well, a huge bolt of lightning hit Akiza heinously, leaving nothing in its wake.
