I saw a theory on this a while back. It was a pretty legit one. The guy had a panel from the Obito vs. Konan fight where Obito said, "Two of the Six Paths are now one!"
Well that got me thinking along with the original guy who created this theory.
What about the other 4 paths then?
So I'm just asking you all, if the 6 paths were all different things, what do you think they are? Ill give you the starting two examples then give some more ideas.
Uchiha (Eyes of the sage)
Senju (Body of the Sage)
-By now we all no that to awaken the rinnegan you need Senju and Uchiha DNA.
Tailed Beasts (This could tie into how Nagato used summonings in one of his paths)
-Also has anyone ever noticed how certain summonings especially the ones used by the Saninn have the Uchiha Tomoes on them?
Uzamaki (Techinques seem to be passed down from the sage to this clan)
-I beleive a lot of the sealing techniques in the Narutoverse originated from the Sage. Also Nagato was an uzamaki but was able to support the rinnegan because of similar body of the sage as the senju. I also believe the artifacts of the Sage that Kinkaku and Ginkaku, and the cloud village possess were actually possessions of the Uzamaki passed down from generation to generation from the sage but were stolen in the raid that destroyed the Uzamaki village.
Hyuga (Goes back into the original idea by Kishi that they descended from same place as Uchiha)
-Okay so we Know that The 6th paths of Pain all share eyesight. What if this ties into the Hyugas perception and ability to see 359% around them.
Juggos Clan (This could be the sages answer to the beserkness of the Jubbi)
-I struggle to come up with a legit 6th path but this is my best guess. With the ability to balance out the powers of the jubbi into many things including into himself, i believe that he could not completely calm the winldness of nature, and so Juggos Clan was born.
So what do you guys think, if this theory is true, the 6 paths could be?
(EDIT) The tailed beasts could also be similar to juggos path in the sense of the wildness of nature in animals and juggo is the wildness of nature in people. Also i believe a lot of the paths balance each other out like how Senju and Uchiha can control the tailed beasts.
(EDIT AGAIN) Just remembered that Sauske can calm Juggo too. I remember a quote saying the uchiha sharingan cant follow the movements of gentle fist. so this is how someone balances out uchiha. and Uzamaki with stamina and sealing could balance out tailed beasts and senju since senju seemed to use summonings alot. (Tsunade and Harishama, but its just a guess.)
Obviously senju and uchiha balance each other out as well.
