Without hype, the Hokages might lose. But it will still be close because Minato and Tsunade have feats. With hype, Hokages win so easy it's not even funny IMO haha

Give the 4 kages another kage to even things out.

Hashirama should be able to beat 3rd Raikage with mid difficulty while Minato handles Mu with mid-high difficulty.

Tsunade Vs Gaara would be a very close fight and with Tobirama's help, they should win mid difficulty at most.

By hype, Hiruzen should be able to hold his own against the 2nd Mizukage until Hashirama and Minato are finished and then the battle becomes very easy.

Hokages win mid difficulty.

Hokages win mid difficulty.

This. Remove Hashirama or give a Kage to the 2nd team, they're really lacking.

However, Hashirama takes the 3rd Raikage mid-diff ? Evidence suggests that it would be high-diff if anything. Raiton would break through any defense/prison Hashirama throws at him. He could rival the Wood Dragon which seems to be on par with a rampaging Hachibi and so on. Whilst Hashirama is the undisputed winner in this match, the 3rd Raikage is pretty underrated. He'll feature in my next thread.

Also i've considered you're Jiriaya idea but he doesn't seem to have an ideal match up. How does Jiriaya vs Kisame sound ?

1. Ok. 1st case: 4th Raikage, 2nd: Onoki, 3rd: Yagura, 4th: 3rd Kazekage.
2. No hype is allowed.

Now this is a real match.

1) 4th Raikage wouldn't do much to even the odds considering he's similar to the 3rd Raikage

2) Oonki would turn the tide completely, Two Jinton users would annihliate Mokuton.

3) A Tailed Beat eh ? I still feel as if Hashirama's Wood Dragon would be enough to solo Yagura

4) 3rd Kazekage is a interesting one. I'm pretty sure his magnetic abilites would allow him to solo Minato or at least fight on par with him. Iron Sand World Order would also be a devastating Jutsu against all the Kage, leaving a good opportunity for the 3rd Raikage to land a hit on of the opposing Kage.

Either way, Team 1 still wins. Hashirama's Wood Dragon and displayed Jutsu are on another scale altogether to these combatants. Iron Sand World Order slightly pales in comparison to Flower Tree world.

Mid difficulty since the 3rd Raikage will be useless under bringer of darkness and mokuton spam will overwhelm him even if he can put up a good fight. Bare in mind that with Hashirama's remarkable healing abilities and potential Zetsu abilities, if the 3rd Raikage miraculously was able to find his way to Hashirama's position, Hashirama could survive and escape to some other area. He also has mokuton clones to fool the 3rd Raikage. The lightning armour is a good defence but I believe that Hashirama could suppress it just like he suppresses bijuu chakra. To kill the 3rd Raikage, Hashirama could absorb all of his chakra out of him or suffocate him by burying him underground or stuffing wood into his throat or something.

Also forgot to say this, WB NK to the Versus thread section. I've certainly missed you.

Wait you just made the team against the 5 Hokages weaker. In this case, the Hokages win with low-mid difficulty with Hashirama and Minato being good enough to beat most of them on there own.

No. The match is still the 5 Hokage vs Muu, 2nd Mizukage, 3rd Raikage and Gaara + 1-2 Kage from this list: 4th Raikage, Onoki, Yagura, 3rd Kazekage.

Ah Hashirama's potential Zetsu abilites slipped my mind for a second there. Considering it he seems to far outclass the 3rd Raikage, if only there was a worthy opponent to pit Hashirama against i may of made a thread on him

Its good to be back to the section, i was just busy in real life but now i'm back for good. The Naruto Discussion seems to have boring topics, the debating in this section seems to have improved by quite a bit.

What do you think of the 3rd Raikage vs Pain ?

It would be an interesting fight. I think the Raikage could win, the only challange would be the Deva Path. But honestly, I'm not sure.

Okay than put Onoki in it and I believe Onoki and Mu can beat Hashirama together while Minato VS 3rd Raikage would end up in a draw. Tsunade and Tobirama will have to fight 2nd Mizukage and Gaara, a fight those two can't win. I say the 5 kages win high difficulty since Onoki is a massive game changer. The others won't cut it except maybe the 3rd Kazekage who can make Minato's FTG useless.

1. Hashirama's only worthy opponents are Naruto and Nagato in a 1 VS 1. Still you could make a Killer Bee + 3rd Raikage VS Hashirama or Mu and 2nd Mizukage VS Hashirama, etc.

2. 3rd Raikage VS Pain would be an intense battle but I believe Pain wins high difficulty due to CT and soul ripping.

That was the ideal reaction. I hope for my fights to be as close as possible.

Would Chibaku Tensei really dispatch the 3rd Raikage ? He seemingly tanked a Tailed Beast Bomb against a rampaging Hachibi.

Soul Ripping doesn't seem like a viable option considering that specific path could be dispatched fairly easily by the 3rd Raikage. This isn't a underestimation of the individual paths but instead respecting the strength of the 3rd Raikage to blitz multiple one-dimensional opponents.

@Icelerate, Minato and the 3rd Raikage wouldn't draw. Minato would lose, technically he loses if he decides to flee and doesn't complete the fight. If he does continue fighting he'll eventually exhuast himself trying to keep up with the Raikage's monstrous stamina.

1. CT would suffocate the 3rd Raikage and eventually kill him since he has no way of getting out. Only those with a powerful and destructive long ranged tech can overcome that technique making it ridiculously OP.

2. Soul ripping wouldn't work easily but it could work in unison with the powers of the other paths such as Bansho Tenin or another of Pain's wide arsenal of abilities. If the 3rd Raikage has knowledge, he could easily find a way of avoiding any combo that Pain tries to throw at him though.

3. Minato could use RDS to force a draw.

RDS is still a loss in my opinion; to use the move it had to be obvious to the user that they would not win in the end. Like Minato vs Kurama, or Edo Hashirama/Tobirama vs Hiruzen. Especially the second fight.

We also can't forget the Bringer of Darkness +Advent World of Flowering Trees combo.

Even without hype it is mangafact that Tobirama had sensing abilities, and space time jutsus. We also know that he was a powerful suiton user. Thus we should be able to extrapolate the Nindaime Hokage posing a threat to the second Mizukage. In terms of getting around the clam, I suppose his sensing will help him in that manner. In avoiding jouki boy and oil based attacks S/T jutsus. In attacking the nindaime despite Hozuki abilities he is a suiton user.
Also the second hokage will be integral in finding Muu.
Assuming Muu is not put to sleep by AWOFT, Hashi still has other abilities we can extrapolate based on Mokuton feats seen by Zetsu, Yamato, Obito, and Edo-Madara.
While Muu has Fire, Hashi and Tobirama have water. So they should be able to extinguish his flames.
But because part of Hashi's attention is going towards dealing with the Third Raikage, we add Minato as the main combatant against Muu. His S/T should allow him to avoid most Jinton based attacks. In addition in the form of Gamabunta, he can great weaken Gaara via Toad Oil bullet. Additionally Gamabunta has water based jutsus which can aid him versus Muu.
Finally, put Hiruzen and Tsunade against a Gaara, whose Sand's effectiveness is greatly diminished by oil and the result is a dead Gaara.
Hokages win under this set up.
1. Hokages still win.
2. Could go either way. Now the problem with Jinton is that it does require a small amount of prep time. Which is dangerous when there are two space/time users, and a kage who could throw his summon at you in the form of a diamond pole, and without knowledge you may think it's just a weapon then all of a sudden it turns out to be a King Emma. OR Hiruzen's use of shadow shurikens. In addition, there's always the chance that Oonoki throws his back out. Oonoki also isn't really the type unless facing another aerial opponent (especially when his teammates are on the ground) to simply fly around using Jinton. Tsunade has shown speed necessary to blitz him.
3. Yagura should be handled by Hashi's Mokuton Dragon. Hokages
4. Third Kazekage may have similar problems with as did Gaara, but he can limit Minato's use of ftg to non metal targets, alternatively, Minato could use magnetism to his advantage to allow the 3rd kazekage to think he's taken his kunai from Minato, when really he just opened up a way for Minato to quickly hit him. Regardless I still say Hokages.

@Tazilla, i have to agree with you there, it seems unlikely for Team 2 to win given you guys have a Hashirama o_O

1) CT is a last resort and requires a little time to activate. It would be used late in the fight if Pain's efforts were become futile, he would use it when all the other paths are dead.

Also, when Pain is concentrating/focusing his energy what's to say the 3rd Raikage doesn't land a fatal hit before Chibaku Tensei's gravitational pull becomes significant enough ? Nagato seemed to be highly drained from such a jutsu and i doubt he could use Shinra Tensei with the same time limit, probably a far extended one. Either way, Chibaku Tensei spells the death of Pain xd.

2) The 3rd Raikage dodged RasenShurkien at point blank range twice, i doubt a normal speed path(s) would even be able to touch him. His reactions due to Raiton No Yoroi are far beyond most people due to increased synpase transmission.

Not to mention he can't be touched with Lightning Release Armour active.

3) Other than a stalemate with RDS, Minato would have no chance at beating the Raikage. Even then, Minato wouldn't be so reckless with RDS, he did it against Kurama due to special circumstances

Either way, i'l have to go ahead with this 3rd Raikage thread xd.

minato and tsunade are the only ones who look scary with no hype.

Hashirama should be able to beat 3rd Raikage with mid difficulty
hachibi didnt even scratch this man and you think trees will hurt him?
A Tailed Beat eh ? I still feel as if Hashirama's Wood Dragon would be enough to solo Yagura
why would yagura let himself be stuck in a dragon? he just turns human again

In this case, the Hokages win with low-mid difficulty
most of them except minato are atomised by onoki

Hashirama's Wood Dragon and displayed Jutsu
all he can do is wood. he has no other displayed jutsu besides a genjutsu. onoki literally disintegrates him in the first few seconds

Bare in mind that with Hashirama's remarkable healing abilities
show scans of this being performed. hype is banned
To kill the 3rd Raikage, Hashirama could absorb all of his chakra out of him
completely impossible as no wood user has ever done this to any humans. not even once. ever. how like hashirama fanboys to make shit up and give him powers hes never even been hinted to have
suffocate him by burying him underground
in that case third kazekage shoves iron sand down hashiramas throat

hashirama's only worthy opponents are Naruto and Nagato in a 1 VS 1.
hashirama is jounin level without hype. most good shinobis slaughter him with ease
Advent World of Flowering Trees combo.
and when has non hyped hashirama shown this?

ven without hype it is mangafact that Tobirama had sensing abilities, and space time jutsus.
no that is a classic example of hype. minato made an offhand comparison of obito to tobirama

Also the second hokage will be integral in finding Muu.
manga fact normal sensing wont work and 2nd hokage wont even notice mu flying behind him and atomising him

While Muu has Fire, Hashi and Tobirama have water. So they should be able to extinguish his flames.
mu has dust not fire. water gets atomised

ut because part of Hashi's attention is going towards dealing with the Third Raikage,
third raikage speedblitzes and shoves hell finger up his ass. fight over

Now the problem with Jinton is that it does require a small amount of prep time.
and yet nearly always its been seen performed in less than 3 panels, maybe less. hashirama took 2 pages to make a small forest

So how exactly does the third kazekage just shove iron sand down anyone's throat. No shinobi would allow it.
Manga fact, Tobirama doesn't use traditional sensing methods. When being sneaky Muu walks on the ground as flying requires chakra. Tobirama's seeking is based on sensing movement on the ground.
Once again it is a fact that Tobirama has s/t jutsus.
Do you not understand how a Kenkei Totei works?
Except Third raikage has a lightning armor, but hasn't been shown using it in the method you suggested and his hell finger takes long enough for multiple people to set up a defense.

Ok USSJ we know you like to go on anti-Hashi rants but I think you misunderstand what what meant from no hype. I believe was meant was stuff like Tobirama was the best suiton user ever!!! What we do know are the jutsus that belong to Hashirama.
And the number of panels required to do something has nothing with the actual or even comparative speed. And unlike Hashirama, Oonoki has been stopped in the middle of performing Jinton.
