The 4th shinobi war arc was a great one

I'm serious. I keep hearing that it's trash, yet one has to wounder if they're thinking about a single event inside the arc and not all the events in the arc as a whole. Allow me to analyze the events that happened in the war arc.

1. The early stages. Yeah, this was a bit of a troll for Deidera and Sasori, and was one of the arc's weak points.

2. There was Kakashi VS Zabuza which was an awesome throwback to the series start.

However, not seeing the swordsman after hearing their hype was lazy on Kishimoto's part and is another weakness.

3. Darui vs Kikaku and Ginkaku.

What can I say, this was an epic fight!

It was also epic seeing Ino-Shika-Cho in action.

4. Seeing them fight Asuma and the Gedo statue was good.

5. We got to see epic moments between B, Naruto, and A.

6. Naruto and B vs Nagato and Itachi was great.

7. Epic Kage battles. Garra VS his father was great and an interesting part of Garra's past. And the fights against the 3rd Raikage and 2nd Mizukage were awesome.

8. Then Madara was introduced, which was FANTASTIC!

9. Naruto vs edo Jinchurikis. That was EPIC! Naruto finally teamed up with Kurama!

10. Sasuke and Itachi VS Kabuto. This had flaws, but it was a great battle as well. Excluding the flashback of course.

11. Then the last one was Madara VS the 5 kage. Do I really need to say anything about this?

Taking all these events into consideration, the arc was good throughout the plot, but was fantastic at the end. I'm getting annoyed at the haters. It had flaws, but if that ruined all of these fantastic events for you, you're gonna have trouble enjoying anything. I can list faults of other series and say that their arcs were trash as well. This arc as a whole was great.

Edit: I didn't include Naruto VS Obito since at that point it transitioned from the 4th Shinobi war arc to the juubi revival arc.

I know! It had a shaky start, but the payoff was fantastic! 3 groundbreaking moments in the manga!

It wasn't bad but I feel like Kishimoto was just trying to get it over with.

Probably why he didn't focus on the swordsmen. Part of it is probably that he knew he'd be working on this storyline for a long time, but I still wish the swordsmen were shown. Glad the anime took care of that.

I figured it was too rushed. To me, it still seemed that Kishi was rushing it and didn't fill in sufficient development for the likes of Konoha 11 (Barring Naruto and Sasuke). I'm not talking about just abilities, but also the way their character was being handled. It seemed that the fillers (Prior to Madara's debut) were made to fill in those "holes" Kishi had left now that I think about it.

I don't hate war arc; but it was not that great of an arc in my opinion.
I am not an author, but i can say that this arc pales in comparasion to a good portion of arcs in the manga based on my observation and opinions. Did it have good sides? Sure. But it had mediocre and weak points aswell, from an overall view i would not ignore both positive and negative sides.

-The Edo Kage (not Hokage)
-Orochimaru
-Juubi

-Weak portrayal of Edo Tenseis
-Edo Hokage fan service, not allowing the younger gen to take charge
-Neji's poorly handled death
-Hinata's occurring sexual urges
-Obito's reveal
-Too much comic relief
-Not enough tension
-Characters all over the place
-Alliance being useless
-Unecessary back and forth banter between Naruto and Sasuke
-Ay, Tsunade and Onoki surviving
-Lack of Team Gai after Neji's death
-The Juubi not being destructive
-No reactions
-Slightly cheesy flashbacks
-Madara

Oh well in that case I can see your point. I have more pros than cons for the war arc and I actually quite enjoyed it. It's the Juubi revival arc that's been lackluster to me of late.
