There was a hidden "easter egg" in one of the anime specials. I believe it was the annual sports festival. Naruto really has to take a dump and when he gets to the bathroom, he finds a huge line. As he's running around he passes several people in the line and in the background, Yondaime walks by and glances at Naruto. Since it's the anime (which has plenty of inconsistencies) and since it's a filler special (there was no sports festival in the manga) you can't say the fourth was alive based on that.


Though I prefer to believe he is (he's not). Just like everyone was saying Tupac isn't dead. Yondaime lives on baby! Wooooo. Minato is not dead!

yeah obviously that manga is fake but it is possible that the 4th could be alive still if he did use a clone jutsu to seal the 9 tailed bijuu. the 3rd used 2 clones to seal the 1st and 2nd hokages when he took on oro's forbidden jutsu.
