[Theory] The 4th Gear

Yo One Piece jerks who jerked my previous threads, well let me tell you that it matters not, since You have to figure whether I wrote this or I just copied and pasted it... now now now.....I wonder how you're find out whetherI copied orwrote it:snick:

Many people wonder why luffy has no gear 4th. Well the answer to this question is simple, the gears Luffy has decreases the disadvantage Luffy has when fighting. Now I will explain why I say what is above.

Look at gear second; Luffy obtained this simply because he lacked speed while he was fighting he saw that while he was fighting Aokiji, the cow guy at gallila company. So gear 2nd eliminated Luffy's weakness to speed and it made him obtain true speed of the soru/shave.

About gear 3rd; Luffy had amazing attacks like a pistol, yeah mind that pistols only penetrate in a specific area that were directed to. However the 3rd gear elimanated Luffy's weakness to have punches that penetrate on a single point and he got a bigger hand that made him have great attacks that spwans a wide area. We saw what happened with the stronghold door Luffy broke it had such power! Ironically most of it was emited outwards.

Now if Luffy gets a gear 4th it would be something that is what Luffy lacks, now Luffy has both speed and power in his attacks, what does he lack? To me when I see there is nothing Luffy lacks to his fighting style I think that we will never get gear 4th lets try and accept the way things are....

NB: This is just how I think, you don't have to belive it if you don't want too.. so what do you think?

I think you made some good points but there is one thing luffy lacks and that Is Knowledge maybe gear 4th he just gets really smart just makes you think doesnt it?? :snick:

mainly with conquerors haki..!!

Luffy isn't really dumb, he is a simple minded kid with the attention span of 5 seconds, when he wants to/really needs to he can be quite smart

@Sogeking ... Chopper didn't figure it out either and he's a doctor ... it's their thing, they act like little kids, and if usopp wasn't Sogeking he would fall for it as well, they're the little kids trio

The gears don't really eliminate all of his weakness they add another dimension to Luffy's rubber abilities. If you think Luffy will go through the NW and not get fruit power ups something is wrong with you. Luffy will be placed into a corner against powerful people and his haki isn't going to be strong enough and thats when I think Luffys new gears or new techiques will come in

Snake techniques-Will be an upgrade that increase Luffy perception and COO. In other words his body will be so dense it will be like he's "one with the wind" and his base speed will increase saving him alot of energy. All of his limb and body will be coiled like like a snake. The downside is he won't be able to throw straight punches. Everything will be curved an more unpredictable a harder to cut against strings and swords

Red hawk techiques-This will be an alternative when G2 is too weak and G3 is too slow. Basically Luffy will make variants to his Red Hawk and add his gun arsenal to Red hawk. People need to keep in mind that the Red Hawk we saw underwater was nothing. I think Luffy it will be 5x hotter and ignite in like too seconds making it a more casual attack

G2 and G3 combine-This will be Luffy at his strongest when he uses G3 at the speed of G2. But the downside will be it puts a heavy strain on his body and he will only be able to use it for 2 minutes at a time and he will be exhausted.

My point is Luffy can't make it the NW with just Haki it will be a time when he needs to get stronger quicker and his DF abilities will have to be expanded. His elephant techs has already been expanded now it "HAWK" and "SNAKE" time for expansion

So you don't even think Zoro has a power up coming with that eye and Sanji has an Okama power up he's hiding because its gay. No way the SH will make it with haki alone they need power ups

It doesn't matter to me the source of the first post since I understand what you wanna say. However, some ONE PIECE fans consider the combination of G2 and G3 that been used against Moria as G4. Oda didn't say anything on this matter. It's been quite a long time we haven't seen anything after Gears techniques.

Haki is nothing more than a double power of G2 and G3. Still, I'm sure the destructive powers of G2 and G3 will grow more powerful than before along with haki leveling up. The more haki level up, the more power gears gain. Think of it as like Goku's power level increases and it doesn't stop increasing.

Gears are old news though. Do we expect something new by Oda? The Nightmare Luffy was a brilliant idea. Too bad it happened only once and in limited time. Someone would imagine the current Luffy to suck up 100 shadows of strong warriors again or let it be 1000 shadows. Perhaps Moria will give Luffy more shadows to beat Kaidou if they met in New World? Who knows?

Anyway, I think G2 is speed and G3 is power. Using them again with haki could be considered as G4 that happens very rare.

Talking about levels thing and waiting for new level takes time. I never saw it coming in DGM (D.Gray-man) Level 4 akuma someone wouldn't imagine or wait for Level 5 akuma... or Level 6 esper in To Aru Kagaku no Railgun, and it's been ages until we heard Super Saiyan God.

Oda's plans of new powers and techniques wouldn't come that quick.

Luffy is one of the most battle smart characters in OP his smarts in battle even surpasses Law because Law doesn't have to to think his DF does all the work either by cutting people in half or takings theres hearts.

Meanwhile Luffy has to be strategic for his rubber DF to be effective. The dude copied a Soru from seeing in once he invented G3 himself

This is what you call battle smarts because Enel had COO and could predict his moves. Luffy made his rubber limp and ricochet it off the wall so Enel couldn't dodge or predict his attacks. Luffy is a genius in battle he always thinks up new stuff. Like against Magellan the dude has his arms coated so he could fight Magellan.

Most Idea about G4 that are df centered seem so not Luffy or rather one piec, I wld opt for gear stacking and giganto red hawk and Thor elephant bazooka plus haki advancements and maybe learning Hasshoken then using his rubber body to create vibrations that cause shock waves then add haki and we get awesomeness and anyways it just fits and punches that cant b blocked do so fit the Yonko and Admiral buster that he will b soon.
