Never Outshine The Master
You must be registered for see images
This Law involves two rules that you must realize. First, you can inadvertently outshine a master simply by being yourself. There are masters who are more insecure than others, monstrously insecure; you may naturally outshine them by your talent and wisdom.
By letting others outshine you, you remain in control, instead of being the victim of their insecurity.

Itachi would risk stirring up all types of emotions such as resentment, envy and other manifestations of insecurity by vaunting his superior talents in front of those senior to him.
The point of this law is about tactfully concealing talents and skills.
