Okk. somebody previously just made a thread about "Sage of the monkeys" and it hit me....Hiruzen Is the master of the monkeys (I think) and as much as people might not wanna hear it but true. Konohamaru WILL play a role in this war as he is somewhat like another naruto. A mere image. The fact that naruto (his superior) have a sage mode he will get one too. remember he pretty much has EVERYTHING naruto got. but he wont be the hero he will probally just show off APE Sage mode to help. then BOOM! Gone

Also i dont even belief konohamaru will reach chunnin level when the manga finishes because it seems its coming to its end, unless kishi prolongs it

lol no it ain't happening... more chance of Sakura getting sage mode since each of the sannins students learnt sage mode except for Tsunade and Sakura. Kabuto got the idea from Orochimaru, and Naruto learnt it because Jiraiya made all those agreements with the froggies :ice:

One a more serious note, I don't think slug SM is next since the madara fight is almost over and Tsunade hasn't used anything like that yet, so you could very well be on to something. although konahamaru using it in the war is a bit much. he may get it after the war

It's a cool idea but I don't think Konohamaru is gonna be "war changing". I'm sure he will train with monkeys and become some type of strong/higher ranking shinobi but not anything too extraordinary

So not happening. You forget there were other contracts like the one kakashi has and guy in which kakashi uses the dogs and guy the turtles. So with that in mind hiruzen had the same type of contract that they had for as you can see he never used a sage mode. So in theory this sounds more plausible.

Konohmaru is chunnin level he was able to defeat one path of pain
