The 3rd gen of kages will never be surpassed

I think we all agree that goes for the 3rd raikage as well, though it isn't said directly, he still lasted 3 days against 10.000 people:

3rd Tsuchikage is Onoki, and I mean the fact that he is still alive, and obviously he is the most useful kage among the current 5 kages. That alone should prove it. Onoki in his prime would probably beat Mu or at least the fight would be pretty much even.

3rd hokage sarutobi hiruzen was the god among shinobi, and he was said to be the strongest of the 5 kages during his time of death, at least Kabuto said it, lol..

Well regarding Hiruzen it is impossible to say, since we have only seen him fighting before the time-skip, and since all shinobi had a huge boost after the time-skip - even oro with sealed arms was a lot stronger, Hiru too would have been.

3rd Mizukage is unknown though, and hasn't even been mentioned a single time in the entire manga. This goes for only a few of the kages, including 1st mizukage and 1st raikage as well. The 1st and 2nd kazekage has been seen in form of statues, but not much is known about them either.

Judging from this the 3rd generation of kages was clearly the strongest, and I can't really see them being surpassed by a new generation. Obviously Naruto will surpass all of them, but beside of him no village seem to have a shinobi with the strength to surpass any of them, and those who were born able to surpass them ended up going rouge, true story, lol U_U

Hmm, I would say strength, but if you go in term of what they will make of their village. I think the next gen will surpass the 3rd, since the next gen (narutos gen) will probably create world peace.

New generation relies on speed to win battles, old generation will always overpower there enemies with brute force.
Back then if your enemies were stronger than you.....you blow their legs of with explosive tags. Prime Examples: Hiruzen & Hanzo.

Naruto alredy surpased 3 raikage he defeated him A,bee,obito and 4 Hokage.
about 3 Kazekage if he was kidnaped by Sasori and killed then Sasori surpased him.
Hiruzen he was surpased by orochimaru.

i believe that the 3rd gen kages wont be surpassed in battle tactics, arguments, and arrogance (they made too many mistakes in their reign)
My opinion is that Hiruzen was the strongest in his gen, for someone like Hashirama to believe a child is gifted says alot!

when Naruto tamed Kurama and took possesion of his power he surpassed every kage in raw power except the 1st hokage and Madara.
here is the break down of my opinion:
old gen: defense>offense,
new gen: Offense>defense
Naruto: offense and defense> 3rd gen's offense and defense

Hashirama and Tobirama both trained Hiruzen so that he could be a powerful Hokage worthy of protecting Konoha. I have no doubt in my mind that the Senju brothers would've wanted Hiruzen to be stronger than them. I'll agree that Hiruzen is the strongest Hokage for Konoha so far.
