(I have been thinking what if Hashirama Senju, also awaken Rinnegan) tobi stated (around the kage summit) before the 6Path died, he did pass on his powers unto his 2 kids and out of those 2, the uchiha and senju where found. hmm

I kinda feel like since the elder son and the younger son both have the same father they have the same DNA in them. I'm not saying this is right but it could be possible that since they have the same DNA that they have the ability to somewhere down the line awaken both of the powers.
