In the latest episode, we see Sasori finally taking down a nation, like he said he did fighting chiyo and sakura. yet, in this episode, we also see that it was a fodder nation full of samurai who were outsmarted by pt1 naruto, and one slightly strong guy, and sasori only took down the castle in the middle of it.
How exactly is this feat better than chiyo defeating a fort with her puppets, or was that a sandcastle.

I agree, but Sasori didn't put alot of effort into it as he just sat in Hiruko all the time, while he bragged about it in the manga...
But hey, it's filler, so it's non canon.

Anime ruin every hyped event that was mentioned in the manga, If kishi covered it he would have made it epic and relate to the story in some way. The anime team see what kishi will probably never cover himself like a small hyped statement and turn it into a shit filler. Not all the time though the sai filler and his sealing tech was good, the tech it self was kinda lame though but the episode was good.

Well maybe it was a different nation that Sasori conquered. In all those years in Akatsuki I'm sure this small town isn't the only one he's taken over. All I can say is at least Sasori in this filler was alot more threatening than Edo Sasori. Poor guy got trolled hard.

I think it's kinda ironic that the nation was actually only a town. Shows that Sasori bragged alot. And besides, taking down a real nation which have a large army by using only 100 puppets would be pretty much impossible...
