I for one loved the flashbacks. Obito saying that he doesn't care for that world anymore symbolizes how deep he had fallen and how much he doesn't believe in reality anymore. I don't get why people are always complaining so much and always want all of their questions answered in a couple of chapters. I have alot of time left for this manga to answer my questions.

How would that have helped obito when he already extracted the kyuubi from kushina before he saw kakashi?

disappointing honestly, we get a god damn flash back every 8 chapters about Naruto being picked on or some whack ass flash back of his dreams of being hokage and will of fire crap and yet we get some rushed back story of Obito, who honestly has had in my opinion the most impact in the damn manga again disappointing.

O and btw Obito was responsible for killing Naruto parents, and yet Naruto hasn't addressed the issue with Obito.. kinda odd don't you think? No worries though we will get a flash back soon enough of Naruto getting picked on in the playground instead that was really a traumatizing moment. (sarcasm)

This was the explanation that would explain why Obito turned evil, how he became skilled enough to fight Minato, why Minato didn't recognize him, where he got the flame-mask, why he controlled the Bloody Mist, what really happened during the massacre, and how he managed to convince Nagato?

1. Obito turning evil and him fighting on par with Minato. Kishi has done a good job explaining these, if you can't see it from these chapters, you won't ever see it. It was the loss of Rin and Madara's SERIOUSLY NEGATIVE EMOTIONS AND BAD INFLUENCE that turned Obito evil. We saw him get a huge powerboost from senju DNA and despite loosing his Zetsu outer shell, its crazy to say that you completely disagree that he could possibly have fought Minato on par a few months after all that stuff happened. Again, if you can't see these now, you have problems.

2. Minato didn't recognize him because he thought Obito was dead and immediately put Tobi on a level LEAGUES above Obito. Its not like he would see his hair and go, "Is that you Obito"? It was simply too crazy for him to have ever considered it to be Obito. A final point about this is that Obito's chakra signature likely changed completely by that point (with zetsu DNA and all) and therefore Minato would not have been able to recognize him through that method.

3. Flame mask; unimportant. He clearly separated himself from his Zetsu shell at some point and kept his identity hidden, no reason to explain where that mask came from too.

4. Boody Mist; also unimportant. He likely was doing justice to Madara's will once he decided to control Yagura, it has no bearing on what these flashbacks are about and why you'd expect to see that information already.

5. Massacre; another unimportant point. The massacre took place MUCH LATER and therefore has no bearing on these flashbacks, sheesh.

6. Convincing Nagato................. so simple is sad you didn't notice. After meeting them, Yahiko is eventually killed and Nagato goes completely emo just like Tobi did after loosing Rin. Tobi was coming back every day and influencing them, as soon as Yahiko died, Nagato completely gave in and accepted Tobi's plan. Completely simple.

Doctor...I have a student who I thought was dead but actually is alive and is out to change the world into a place where free will is no longer a factor and he just killed me.

I could see some short flashbacks between the Kakashi-Obito battle. I don't think we'll see any full flashback chapters for a while. Some of the unexplained stuff is probably being saved for, like I just said, during this battle and more for wherever Sasuke is going. This flashback totally fast forwarded from the Sage talks straight to Obito and Nagato's first meeting. I could see the Sage info coming out of the Sasuke parts.
