Yup, even the small things like Madara saying stuff like the current shinobi system being useless must've got into his mind. Even though he was strong back then in his beliefs, the moment he saw Kakashi kill Rin he probably remembered those words and actually started believing them. At least that's what I think.

Obito was trying to go back to kakshi and rin after being healed .But madara had other plans for him . I think but cant prove madara had something to do with the rin situation . Thats why he was confident obito would come back .Plus we just learned he still had control over obito body with zetsu . Madara used obito hate for the shinobi world to control him ! obito told naruto the real way to control someone is to use their hate . Back when he asked naruto how did he make nagato turn on him.
