Doesn't justify it being on park benches, or underneath overhead ramps or whatever the **** they're called. Plus, homeless people go around businesses like you see there after closing late at night, they're not usually on the ledges or whatever during the day because the owners make them move. It's bad enough these people have nowhere to live, but now you take away the little they do have? It's disgusting and selfish.

They can always sleep on the ground next to the park bench. All jokes aside though it is unfortunate for them but that's how the world works.

That's ****ing disgusting because we don't HAVE to do it that way. Wow, homeless people can't sleep under the overhead or on a bench, that sure makes the world a better place, fixes soooo many problems.

The thing is: he has a point. As I said, some homeless people are cool and quiet, they don't mess with anyone. However, some of them might be either dangerous, or they can really bother other citizens.

Yeah, it's sad that they don't have a place to live, really sad. But I've seen people that brought that upon themselves. Drinking in a bar all day instead of looking for work.
And for the rest, those citizens I mentioned shouldn't pay any kind of price.

Of course, a measure like that must also be followed by another measure to ensure they have some kind of shelter or something like it.

But remember that having the streets safe and confortable should be our rights.

Yeah no, I lived in South America for 12 years, I know what it's like. And even there, if a homeless person tried to sleep near a place of business, they were just chased away. If they weren't, people STILL went into the places of business. I've seen homeless people sleeping near the entrances of malls and people just walk past them and into the mall. Yeah, they can be dangerous, but this doesn't actually get homeless people off of the streets. These spikes can't stop them from hurting people, it just stops them from finding a place to sleep. This solves nothing since, spikes or not, a crazy dangerous homeless person could just attack people on the sidewalk where there are no spikes and people are walking, or on the street. This literally just hurts, not solves.

edit: also, it's probably like payphone, you can only sit on the bench for a little while. imagine relaxing in the park reading a book and after 15 minutes BAM, spikes try to penetrate you. this is a terrible idea.
