It can't be him ,Eren's dad was around when the 3d manuver was around , this Ape didn't know , he must be older , also , i believe that Eren ate his dad .

There are basically three plausible theories we can make out.


Be aware... Spoilers will follow pending your progress! If you don't know the identity of the Collosal or Armored Titan... STOP HERE

Spoiler

1. This Titan happens to be Eren Jeager's father.

2. This person is a mysterious Third Party that is basically an ancient or EXTREMELY unique Titan (possibly the founder of Titans due to recent chapters suggesting they may be man made: Connie's village).

3. This person is someone who is of a rank equivalent to a Shawman in Reiner and Berthold's village.




Problems...

1. Eren's father KNOWS about 3D-Manuever Gear, so that Titan's conversation doesn't make sense.

2. No real faults here... it simply depends on who/when this titan is/became a titan. It's even plausible if Titan's are man made experiments that he may have actually created them.

3. Reiner and Bertholdt seemed to be familiar, but do not sound like they are on good terms with the Titan... as they didn't refer to it by name, or give any indication of allegiance. Assuming, however, this was done to keep their identities secret for a little longer, he may simply be unknown to them due to them not having passed this test, or perhaps he remains hidden by identity despite being in the same village.


In order of probability based on what we have seen/know: 2, 3, 1 is the order of likelihood on these possibilities.
