Sorry but friendship stuff is annoying ass hell I loved yugioh so much like badly still one of my favorite shows but what annoyed me so much was tai's friendship speeches about fruendship. I mean look at Natsu... He's lost the first time to Jackal and almost got soul screwed by Franmalth he was also beaten when Torafusa flooded the guild.. We've seen him lose but Erza has yet to lose.. For some reason I don't know maybe Hiro thinks we like her when she wins every battle but that's not the reason she used to be my favorite character

The power of friendship is used in many mangas. I watched that Erza fight and did not see anything new. People some times make a big mess out of everything. So friendship never won a fictional character a fight before?

Because my suspension of belief can only hold so much... Her senses(all of them) were taken away and she physically beat a demon who was curb stomping her before hand... Logically Kyouka should've won.. Erza hasn't lost a fight in gods knows when.. The reason Tartaros has been so well loved is due to it straying from the formulas other arcs have had yet with Erza it's the same thing

I don't mind fighting for your friends but when it allows illogical stuff to happen it doesn't sit well with me..If Erza only had one or even two of her sense taken away it would've been better written... All Hiro is doing know is making some people turn away from her... You don't have to win every battle you fight to be a badass or a well written character which is exactly why Lucy has been one of my favorites

I didn't come to respect Erza because she can beat every challenge.. I can overlook some PIS victories but not this one... I didn't like it in Saint Seiya nor will I like it in this one

Tartaros Arc is still one of the best but stuff like this? No if Hiro has to keep writing Erza like that Id rather her not get any focus.. And it doesn't make sense because you're putting Erza in a position where she has to win and keep Face from activating but the chapter was named 00:00 so there was no point in Erza beating Kyouka or rather she didn't have to win

Losing is not bad.. It builds character.. It doesn't take away a characters badassery nor does it make them weak as a character

i agree on the lucy part you mention, she's one of my favorites because i relate to her in a way.
Now, not sure if there was going to be an explanation about her sense, but hiro could have atleast given us that. But he didn't.
This arc has been great indeed for me.

It's not hating... Like I've said the entire arc has been well received by a huge majority of the fans.. Claiming it as the best in the series but having Erza win in an outrageous way is going to leave a black eye on the arc and will only give more fuel to the people who don't like her

It could've been Kyouka stripping Erza of only her sight and having her to rely on her other sense to fight yet logically still get overpowered

It's like the situation with Azuma.. She had to win or her friends would die but in Kyouka's case whether she won or not Face was still going to activate... She linked herself to the core and sped up the process

It was a win-win for Tartaros either way

Kyouka stays alive- she simply speeds the process and activates FACE
Kyouka dies- FACE activates

so why not have Kyouka win the fight? All it's doing is sucking out the tension of every battle she faces and her friendship speeches will be a signal for what's to come

I don't judge entire arcs off two or three chapters but Erza is a main(well one of) character so she naturally will get more screen time than others... Why not have her face a battle she can't win and build more of her character from there? Erza can be cocky and over confident sometimes so why not bring that side out of her more instead of her being a spokesperson for Fairy Tail?

I'm not bashing her or her fans but more of how Hiro is handling her character..

Take it easy dude, part of being a fan is been able to recognize the mistakes in whatever you're supporting, things have been a little edgy with the last fight, but i'm sure things will be back on track soon enough

It's not hate, it is saying the truth. The Arc was so good but this fight was just plain stupid.
"Because she's Erza" as the only explanation for the win is just a lol for me. It looked like Hiro thinks his fans are people with low IQ that would be okay with an asspull like that.

I really hope he still keeps doing the good job like he started with this Arc and we better move on as well and forget that fight.
