almost every post in this thread has a thanks and there is no way they all were seperate threads​

That's because there's an option for enabling/disabling the ability to thank each post in a thread or only the first one. Normally it should be in all threads in all sections only possible to thank the first post, however when those sections you are referring to were made, the option to thank all posts was accidentally enabled. However by now that should already have been resolved, especially when you see that the examples given in this thread are all old.
