Hey guys. Most of you who know me, know I'm usually somebody who replies as soon as a post is ready for me to answer to. And to that, I say I like my reputation. I've always taken pride in the advances I have personally made for my characters on the base. For starters, 3000 something posts. I'm sorry, but I could care less about the rank it gave me, that's a lot of words put to paper. Many, many thousands. With my replies averaging 400 words on here, and about 60% of that post count I earlier mentioned being RP posts, you can average my words on the site to about 720000. 720000 words of Roleplay content. Which is frankly, INSANE! That's a good long epic I've written, and nearly all of it follows Kirito Uchiha, the Archangel. The number is about the same as the whole lord of the rings trilogy. Sadly, that count won't be raising much more. I'd like to formally say, I will henceforth be retiring from the NarutoBase Roleplay for the next while. I don't know when or if I'll come back, but I'd like to say I will one day. Until then, I hope that the base continues to evolve and grow at the rate it did back when I first got here. I'm approaching two years of membership here, and even before then, many months so even, I was avidly reading of the tales of Detective L, Madara Uchiha, and all of your guy's RP material. I was thrown into a great, large, brand new bright world of fun. Among the people I've read the grand epics of, I'd like to mention a special few who've helped me grow not only in an RP sense, but in my creative writing in general. Here they are.
Detective L- An amazing teacher, great help in any technical situation, and when it comes to my ability choices, he's the person who's helped me the most. I've aspired to defeat him, and rise above his absolutely phenomenal level of writing skill, and probably will never achieve anything close to it. He's a social being, and a great friend at that. Thank you for being one of the best sensei I could ask for.
Yusei- When I first joined the base, Yusei didn't go by the name he did now. He went by Kakashi of the Leaf Anbu, or just Kakashi. A great guide, Yusei helped me understand my basic choices for biographies I had access to as a beginner, and also fought me more than a couple times when I was just getting the hang of things. Now, we talk regularly over skype and through the RP chat thread, making vigorous fun of eachother. Besides all of this, Yusei remains an excellent poet in the classical sense.
JJUif/Cabbage- The first fight partner I ever had, JJ corrected every mistake I made on my first bio, Kirito Aburame, the original rendition of my current Kirito Uchiha, and as soon as I was approved engaged in battle with me. We've fought 8 times, each of which I won. We would talk for hours on end, as well as PM eachother as I didn't know how to use VMs at the time. I will remember him as not only a teacher, but as a great friend.
Jakai- O' Rookie Pirates, how I miss ye. I first met Jakai under the name MisterDoctorProfessor while playing the one piece rookie pirates Non Naruto RP game. It was a very fun experience, and we instantly thrust ourselves into an excellently narrated and dialogue filled fight. We then promptly buffed ourselves into gods and got our asses reprimanded by skylar knight, creator of the game. After this occured, I fell out of activity on that game, but still talked to the newly renamed Jakai. I one day said, "You should try out the Naruto Rp. It's really fun. Plus, it stays active". He said he might give it a try one day. I took a break from the forums for a while, then came back to see Jakai headlining every RP board ever, running the site's most succesful bio shop, and showboating his classic fun loving smartass personality. Jakai, you're a great guy, and after all the 1 AM Vms I've sent you, I'd like to say: Even if you are Gin Ichimaru, we're still friends. (Yes I know his AVI isn't actually Gin, but I choose not to acknowledge that.) Those of you who use Jakai's bios: You have me to thank for this god.
Rucken and Keji- Both of these RPers are rather well known now, and have asserted themselves as decent RPers. Rucken, who hit his peak as a newer Sannin ranked player, is a good friend of mine, and his old bio, Ikiru, is a close friend of my Kirito. Keji, is even closer. A very fun loving and great personality, we know Keji as an Rper who does it only for the fun, and just that. Nothing else. He's a fun person to talk to, and I will miss my epic battles with him.
Sam Uchiha- My character's brother, and my most likely closest friend I've made here, Sam is a great guy. He talks to me on skype daily, checking in on lots of things, and also asks me for advice on the RP. I've been at it just a little longer than him, and he sees me as an equal, yet also as a teacher. We've learned more from eachother than any sensei could teach me, and for that, I thank him. Sam, thanks for being an all around great dude with me.
Finally, we have the person who has effected me more than anybody else I've ever met on the forums.
The Pervy Sage- We all know him. We all like him. Pervy is not only my Personal Sensei (As In I'm a PS of his), but a great friend of mine. Whenever he was on, we would talk regularly, discussing the advantages and disadvantages of Bio-Power combinations. He is what led me to love the curse mark, toads, and sage mode, as well as gave me a heavy dose of Taijutsu-Theory. He talks to me regularly as a friend, and is one of the reasons I remained here as long as I did. He also guided me to revive Kirito as an Uchiha and sparked my interest in the overused clan. I had tried to avoid it before, then fell in love with their eyes. All because of this man. Thank you very much for dedicating your time to me, Pervy.
So that's it. I'll still be around on the forums, doing some LoT stuff, and you are always free to VM me. But for now, this is a formal goodbye to the familiar RP Homepage, Battle Arena, Training Grounds, and yes, even the beloved Custom Jutsu Submission thread. If you want to still roleplay with Kirito, he's a character on a bleach site to which I can link you guys if you'd like over vm. The site is more development focused than combat based, and is probably the best bleach community I've ever been in. So to all, I wish you farewell, and say for one last time:
Thanks for the memories, see you again.
