idk if thats suppose to be zabuza's dad or if kishi is just getting lazy as **** with character design...also if it is his dad that kinda ruins zabuza a little for me...like he only got into the swordsman because his dad was in it

I agree, this flashback wasn't so bad. People are calling this filler but this is way different than the anime showing the same flashback we've seen 100 times already.

We've never seen this flashback before This showed some good feels on Gai's character and explained a lot of development. As a Gai fan I enjoyed it and am looking forward to next week's chapter that much more. Can't wait to see the Elephant!

Now that I think of it, it would have been more fun if Guy's father was the opposite of Guy... I mean, many characters are xeroxed from their fathers, could have used some originality here.

Like, Guy sticking to youth and stuff despite his father's wishes.
