Teuchi Ichiraku
Basic Information
Teuchi's name can mean "making noodles by hand" (手打ち). However, the same word can also mean "killing someone with one's bare hands."

Teuchi is the loving father of Ayame Ichiraku. He is also the owner, proprietor, and head chef of Ramen Ichiraku. As such, he is known as the finest ramen chef in the Land of Fire. Naruto, a noted ramen connoisseur, has yet to find a ramen recipe that he prefers more, despite his numerous travels across the shinobi world.
Though he appears stern and demands that his customers' tabs be settled, Teuchi is actually a kind-hearted gentleman. He has been shown on multiple occasions to offer his repeat clients a bowl on the house. He commonly takes in the many orphans of Konohagurake (Naruto, Iruka, etc) to his restaurant and offers a warm food, and a friendly smile.

Teuchi has gray, close-cropped hair and light, distinguished wrinkles in his face. He sports a clean white shirt and pants that he accessorizes with a trendy blue apron and his trademark chef's hat.

Background Info.
History
Teuchi is perhaps most noted for his constant support of his best customer, Naruto. On the night before the Chunin exam tournament, it was Teuchi that provided the encouragement and free food that Naruto needed in order to defeat Neji.
When his daughter was kidnapped by a cooking-nin and former classmate, Hakkaku, Teuchi assembled Naruto, Sakura, and Choji to rescue her. Upon completing the perfect bowl of ramen, it was revealed that Teuchi's "Phantom Recipe" was actually a farce: Teuchi is just a damn fine chef and teacher.
The Conspiracy
Teuchi is widely considered by fans of the show to be the secret identity of Tobi, the story's main villain. While it confirms nothing, Kabuto's summoning of Madara eliminates one potential candidate and makes the probability of the Teuchi is Tobi theory that much likelier.
