Why are you making these stupid matchups where one is really strong and the other is really weak. I'm not trying to be mean or anything but Tenten is just never gonna beat Shikamaru. That's just my opinion.

Shikamaru wins most of the time. His IQ is higher and his manipulation of shadows allows him to be hard to predict and kill. And the shadows can defend him from offensive jutsu

Her ranged moves make her the best counter to his shadows.

She wins all matches. Simply barraging him stops shadows (he has to run) and soon kills him since he's not a dodging specialist.

However, against Hidan he showcased the ability to convert his body to shadows, so maybe that state renders him immune to physical damage. Still, I imagine light (explosions, fire) would hurt him so it's not a guaranteed counter. Plus we saw the other user of shadow body, Jiraiya, still needed to breathe.
