TenTen is seriously underrated

I'm not saying she isn't the weakest, I'm saying you guys don't even think about what she can really do, like. 90% of you wouldn't think there'd be a difference if Tenten was added to a team of not. Kind of annoying, because Tenten isn't really that bad, it's just that everyone else is better than her. I mean, this generation of ninja was said to be the best in the Leaf.

Sakura is more useful, shes a medical ninja.

Medical ninjas are extremely useful, that's why I have respect for people like Shizune, Sakura, and Tsunade. Without a medic, a team would be seriously crippled. That's why Zetsu tried to infiltrate the medic base, it's a key point in the war, and without it there it'd make things much easier for Tobi/Kabuto.

So as we all know, Tenten is probably one of the worst ninjas, if not, the worst ninja in Naruto, right? You may want to think twice. Tenten is secretly amazing.

Ninjutsu

As we all know, Tenten is a base ninjutsu user, who summons ninja tools to aid her in combat. This opens opportunities for a lot of diversity in a fight that can make or break it.
One interesting jutsu she has that really caught my attention was

, because it shows how the weapons come out AS WHITE STREAKS, that is ridiculous speeds that a majority of ninja wouldn't be able to dodge, block? Maybe, but not dodge. TenTen can easily set up strategies to exploit a persons weak points.

Taijutsu

TenTen does know how to use Taijutsu and actually knows how to use it efficiently. Tenten can summon various weapons to aid her in combat, some of which consisting of spears, whips, swords, etc. TenTen surprisingly had experience using Taijutsu and actually came out victorious due to using it. During her fight with Raiga Kurosuki (if you don't know him, here's a link

) Tenten realizes that using her weapon summoning wouldn't be the best way to go about winning the fight, so instead she resorted to using her taijutsu, and successfully disarms him before he can use overwhelming techniques.
Another scenario in which she uses taijutsu, even though it's not too serious is when Lee had to tell Tenten she couldn't go on a mission with the Konoha 11 because she was out on a different mission. She hit Lee with a dynamic entry (a taijutsu moved usually used by Gai) Even though not too powerful or serious, it just shows that she is capable of using taijutsu in situations when necessary.
Fact: Tenten is the fastest Kunoichi of her age group, and is proficient at both armed and unarmed combat.

Intelligence

Tenten is actually a very observant fighter, even though we usually never see her fight. One time in which we notice this is when she's again, fighting Raiga Kurosuki, she realizes that fighting a lightning style user whilst using metal weapons wouldn't be the greatest idea, so she fights him using wooden-based weaponry. Although not that big of an observation, it changed the course of the fight and she came out victorious.
Another example of when we notice Tentens intellectual abilities is when she's fighting when using Jidanda (

) most people would have used the paper bombs as an offensive weapon to hit the enemy, meanwhile Tenten used the paper bombs as a mean to get Jidanda in the air to crush opponents, then use paper bombs to finish them. Truly remarkable.

Chakra

Tenten has a good amount of chakra and also has great chakra control.
For example, in one jutsu, Twin Rising Dragons (

) Tenten summons all sorts of weapons and throws them all at her enemy after putting down smoke to blind them. On top of this, as she's summoning and throwing all the weapons, she connects chakra wires to each weapon so she can use them even after they hit the ground, both intelligent and proof of her chakra control.
On top of this, Tenten also has a good amount of Chakra. During the war arc, Tenten finds the Bashōsen (

) and even though it absorbs a lot of chakra as you use it, Tenten uses it, and also uses it well. She manages to break edo Kakuzu's lightning mask while using it before collapsing from the chakra absorption.

Potential

Now, Tenten does indeed have a lot of potential, whether you admit it or not is up to you.
For example, she has one jutsu that gets me very interested. Her Exploding Dragon Strike, in this jutsu, Tenten summons a flame dragon that explodes on impact. This gets me curious, maybe she can summon other elemental weapons? Fire? Water? She can then combine smoke summons with elemental and ninja weapon summons to increase her variety and keep her on the offensive at all times. With Tentens intelligence, I'm sure she'd be able to set up scenarios in which she could combine strategies and make flawless plans, potentially becoming a very respectable ninja.

Also, (not making subtopic for this) Tenten is respected by other ninja and can be depended on during situations necessary. Tsunade assigns her as a leader of a squad for a mission. And Shikamaru trusts that Tenten can keep an entire ship inside of one of her summoning scrolls. Not that important but though I'd mention it.

Overall, I'm not a fanboy of Tenten, I'm just bored and feel like she deserves atleast a little credit. Because sometimes I see her in vs. threads and people say "Blahblah kills Tenten because she'd just get in the way then proceed to solo the other two" Like.. Really? =\ Anyway. Tell me what you think^^

Most of your proof of Tenten's potential are based on anime/filler events. Yes, this does matter as only the manga counts.

About the Bashōsen. If I recall, we have only seen her use it once. Maybe twice. If, say, she could use it a max of two times before collapsing and both of her attacks fail in some way (such as she misses) she's pretty much screwed. She'd be too exhausted to try other options. Lastly, she no longer has the fan anyway.

Mmm, I do understand where you're coming from and it is important if something is in the anime and isn't in the manga because Kishi may not have wanted that to have happened. But think about it from my point of view. A majority of my information wouldn't be able to be used without it because characters don't get enough screen time seeing as how during this arc all Kishi is doing is worrying about the Uhihas and Naruto and we barely see any screw time of any of the Konoha 11, if that. Using information from the anime is a big part for character analyzations for non-main characters. I personally think that the anime should be meritorious for people who aren't directly related to the story line.

Yeah, most of her feats aren't in the manga, because Kishi feels like digressing from ever character besides Naruto/Uchihas >.< So everyone from Konoha 11 gets shadowed basically. And the anime has fillers to let you get more screentime with the Konoha 11 :3. That's why I think any information I get from the anime should be creditable =\

Tenten like many other members on the Konoha 11 just hasn't been develop.If you look at tenten skills, the majority of them have only been shown in the anime and not the manga.Kishi just doesn't care about characters who aren't directly related to the Sasuke/Naruto storyline.
