It's an established fact that indeed the infamous boulder that crushed Obito has had more panel time than Tenten. Kisame's Samehada has probably had more dialogue than our girl and it's relatively safe to assume that Kishimoto sensai gave more thought to the akutsuki attire than Tenten's character development. Tenten stands out as the only girl in k12 that is not a known fangirl. Rarely is she ever seen drooling over a male. In fact Tenten's very ambition in life is to become respectable kunoichi in her own right.
Tenten is the kind of girl that adds to any squad. She made a mature decision in deferring their uptake in the Chunin exams as so not to jeopardise her team's chances. Tenten does not actively friend zone one of her teammates over another unlike a certain Konochi.
Impressively Tenten does not allow [her possible crush] to disrespect her or all women for that matter. Apparently in the Chuunin exams Neji had the audacity to proclaim that chick's suck at the ninja life. To which Tenten reprimands him, explaining that girls are just as good as boys when it comes to taijutsu. She doesn't comply with everything he states like a dog. In part one we also learnt that Tenten also has shown a strong distaste for weakness or being overly dependent on other people.... unlike...
Tenten's feats are cool and unique to her. She's a respectable Ninja tools specliast and apparently is the fastest female in k12 according to Naruto Wiki. She may not be the most gifted but at least she does not endanger her team or cry at every given opportunity.
To conclude, Tenten is a dependable teammate and a strong woman in her own right. Her attitude is what every female anime needs. She's also a looker too
