Ten Ten was vastly under developed

I agree, but she had 3 character "strikes" working against her:

1. Female in a Kishi manga. The best you can hope for is to get married to your crush.
2. Not from an important clan, hence no traumatic backstory or powerful relatives.
3. Member of Gai's squad. Each Sensei seems to have a favorite student that gets all the attention aka panel time, and Gai was devoted to Lee.

Her fighting style was very good though. Would have liked to see her team up with Rock Lee to provide him with weapon support. Rock Lee trying out each of her weapons in battle. Showing us his amazing speed in weaponary.

Rock Lee and Tenten vs Suigetsu's brother would have been an amazing match up.

Funny enough, Ten Ten is a fan favorite among the fandom. She's even more popular than Sakura, listed in an poll a few months ago.

But yeah Ten Ten is a girl in this Manga so her relevancy is limited. Granted the only female with manga time was in Team 7, and Kishimoto did more harm than good, but the Manga is over so you can't really expect much anymore.

The funny thing is even with so little development. Hinata is still topping the female lists of this manga. If she gotten more who knows how far this manga would have gone?Kishi would atleast be respectable in the female department.
