Now that we've finished with the cleaning method, I would like you to practice always starting any procedure by first cleaning yourself and then your patient, paying particular mind to the area you are working on.

Right, to after reading the for this lesson, you'll come to find it is a rather simple exercise: to remove objects that shouldn't be in your patient. Being Shinobi you'll find that on occasion we tend to have people trying to stab up with various ninja tools, and in some cases they are far to embedded to be removed by unskilled hands. This is where the Tekishutsu method comes into play, whereby you will use your chakra and keen medical eyes, to coax out any foreign objects that may be stuck in your patient.

Come back with any questions and then we'll start with the practical testing... I'm sure you can see from previous lessons, what I'm about to do here...

*Shinta brandishes several senbon and kunai, rather menacingly, in each hand.*:devil:

Does the size of the object which penetrated through skin matter when using this technique or not?
No, it also doesn't matter if it was just skin or even organs that were penetrated. However, the size of the object does cause issues with follow-up treatment after removal. For example, a splinter would not need any extra healing as the skin generally will look after that on it's on, while a Kunai buried deep in tissue would more than likely require stitches to close the wound.

Of course at this stage you both do not know of any actual healing jutsu/techniques, but you will xD

*Throws a senbon cleanly into Pekom's abdomen, piercing 4cm deep in while missing all vital organs/arteries. Shinta then breaks the senbon while leaving in a 3.5cm segment of the senbon*

So, following standard medical procedure... could you remove this senbon using your chakra, Akasha? You basically want to aim to gently massage the tissue in such a way that the senbon falls out of the patient. A good start would be to place your hands relatively close to the wound, diagnosing what has been hit and how best to remove the senbon before utilising your chakra to do so.

This is a fairly straight forward removal, but you could imagine a serrated edge or multiple segments might make this a little more difficult?

For Pekoms, while Akasha removes the senbon, could you tell me some issues with removing a broken segment of senbon from an area such as the chest cavity, or another area closely packed with organs?

Hearing instructions of Shinta, I continued on to move towards Pekoms. Just at the first glance I knew where the entry wound was, and due to seeing the object which initially penetrated through his body, I knew its size. Knowing that one can easily get infected during these types of things, I decided to firstly focus chakra onto my hands and pushing the "good" microbes to sanitize my hands before going near his body and tenderly placing my hands on just above of where the wound is suppose to be without making actual contact. However before proceeding to diagnose exactly what happened inside of his body, I released just enough chakra to sanitize all around the area.

(Iryō Ninjutsu: Kirei Tomo) Medical Technique: I clean all of me
Type: Supplementary
Rank: C-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The medical shinobi fills his palms with small amounts of extremely aggressive chakra and runs them over the areas of his body he wants to clean of any microorganisms, harmful substances, etc. The chakra will eliminate any inert harmful substance or microorganism present on that area. Normally this technique is done on the hands and lower arms just before having contact with a patient but can be applied to the whole body in specific situations (before performing surgery, if the enemy is highly contagious, etc). After being done, the chakra automatically turns back to his regular, non-harmful and calm one.

(Iryō Ninjutsu: Kirei Itto) Medical Technique: I clean all of him
Type: Supplementary
Rank: B-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The medical shinobi fills his palms with moderate amounts of semi-aggressive chakra and runs them over any areas of the patient’s body he wants to clean of any microorganisms, controlling the chakra flow constantly so it doesn't becomes too lethal. The area affected is 4 times the area of the users hands. After being done, his chakra automatically turns back to his regular, non-harmful and calm one.

With the cleaning done, I would continue on with releasing chakra into his body, which would start to spread throughout it before descending back to me with the needed informations.

"It seems to have reached 4 centimeters deep."

My eyes shifted to Shinta.

"However it was a clean cut, no vital organs nor arteries have been touched."

Again I shifted my eyes towards the patient, well Pekoms at this time. I focused onto the body around the object, sending slight vibrations of chakra which essentially smoothly encompassed and pushed the object in question out of the body.

Ouch... I can almost feel that gaze stabbing right through me... but like you said, it was a clean cut... hehe, nothing to worry about. *Shinta clears his throat and straightens his demeanour.*
Don't forget, you're in the finest medical school around... actually the only one... and there are plenty of people to keep you healthy and alive. You guys are just lucky it's me as your teacher... I witnessed poisonings by chocolate butterflies during my early days. *Shinta pauses as flashbacks of his early training resurface in him mind*

All that aside, very good job. You started out with the correct process and adequately diagnosed the situation and corrected it. Excellent work.

*Shinta then uses medical chakra to cleanse himself and Pekoms, before applying another technique to completely heal his wounds.*

After Pekoms replies, we can move onto the next class, unless there are more questions you would both like to ask/more practice you'd like to partake in? O__O'

Silently enduring the pain in his abdominal region and the urge to reciprocate his treatment, Koumei instead fixated on the question presented to him. "The emergent issue, in some unfortunate situations, would be improper extraction resulting in the rupturing of any adjacent organs relative to the entry point(s) of any fragments of senbon. Furthermore, the individual initiating the extraction process must take care to neither break the fragments into even smaller constituents nor leave any of the aforementioned fragments lingering within the patient's body, as future complications could possibly arise."

Regardless of whether or not you're lying, it'd be hard to think any less of your violent teaching processes. Zzz

No questions, presently~
