-danzo was behind it all...itachi should've killed him...if itachi killed danzo a peacefull negotiation could happen between konnoha and uchihas....thus teh uchiha clan massacre would be avoided...

Itachi is a badass, no doubt. But genius or not, he was only thirteen at the time. He had a debilitating disease, and had to kill his entire family.

Killing Danzo wouldn't have done shit. The damage was done. There was no calming the Uchiha down, the coup would have happened with or without Danzo.

Itachi was, or was close to being an S-class shinobi with the Sharingan. And Obito was S-class himself with his Kamui making him pretty much untouchable. The Uchiha would have lost, no doubt. But the damage would have been done, and Konoha would have been weakened to the point where the likes of Masa or Onoki..maybe even A would jump on the chance to take Konoha down and remove them from the top spot.

Was what Itachi chose to do, the right decision? Nobody knows, But he willingly went through with that to protect Konoha, the village he loved and his beloved little brother.

I don't even like the majority of the Uchiha much. But Itachi was a tragic character, destined to die either way and dedicated what life he had in him to protecting the bonds he cherished.

..Minamoto, your thinking process is pretty much that of a child. You seem to think the most obvious answer is the right one, but can't see through the subtleties and possible consequences of such childish notions.
