Eight years is a little too much in my view, maybe a year in jail max, but not eight; Jesus Christ!

Sure he doesn't deserve 8 years in prison wich is ridiculous, But is also good they're taking precaution after so many shootings. Some of them start like this.

Know what i mean?

^THIS. Taking precautions is fine and they could've just questioned him and realized it was sarcasm. But 8 YEARS!? It's ridiculous.

The kid said "lol" and "jk" after the comment. It was OBVIOUSLY a joke. Seriously, eating their hearts? These jackasses took THAT seriously? The b*tch who reported him must have no life to actually go out of her way to find this kid and call police over a ****ing Facebook status.

This ^
Guess that kid gonna be in our sig to if he gets locked up :(

No reason? Threatening to kill innocent people over a LoL game (whether it was a joke or not) is wrong, and he should be punished. 8 years might be little harsh, but idc.

Because people totally and openly admit they are going to shoot up a school and eat their victims hearts on Facebook and put "lol" and "jk" right after it. Get real... Next time you say you're going to kill someone although I know you're joking, I'm just going to report you to the police. Maybe then you'll know how it feels to be in jail for something so dumb and outlandish over a simple and obvious joke.

8 years of his life is about to get ruined. Poor kid. They still have criminals out here committing real crimes. Much older and have been getting away with it yet they chose to seek out an innocent 18 year old. What the heck ever...

How did that lady find him from a video game alias?

Pretty sure she found the Facebook post on Google. I don't think LoL archives are posted up on Google...

I think he should get life in prison for a joke that bad, the moment he made that joke every comedian shed a tear.

Really?

You're going to put a guy in jail for 8 years over a facebook comment?

So... who is going to put all of the twitter users in jail who call for the death of people on media-covered court cases?

Or do we just selectively ignore that? That's free speech?

You're going to take away 8 years of someone's life over a single comment?

I don't pretend to be a decent human being. I come right out and say that I would -really- like to just kill people on the spot when they say certain things (such as "I'm a citizen of the world!"). I just flat out admit to wanting to take people's lives away and that I don't care.

But lock them away for 8 years?

To put that into perspective - both of my grandmothers died, my mother, my father, and my uncle all died within the last 8 years. I went from being a highschool student to being cleared to work on equipment more expensive than you and I will ever make in our lifetimes combined. Those 8 years have -defined- who I am.

The 18 years before that were all building me up to a range of different potentials. Those 8 years really defined who I was.

And you want to lock this guy away for that long, because he made an "lol" comment in poor taste?

Say it ain't so!

Like you've never said something in poor taste.

Well ,certainly a hyperbolic reaction. That joke was certainly sarcasm ,or in other words, ignorance so it can't/shouldn't have been taken seriously.I think that the authorities should give him a little jail or detention time, something around a couple of weeks or a months or two just to discourage his attitude, but 8 YEARS!! Thats just lunacy!

He is 18,so when he gets out of prison he will be 26. His life will pretty much be ruined, since he will need to finish his education,he will be unemployed or completey screwed up.He doesn't deserve that.

I comprehend what is happening here. The authorities are just making an example out of this poor fellow. They in reality don't give a rat's ass what happens to him. They just want to renew the patriotic feeling in the population that the government's efforts are succeeding(achieved) to stop the violent attacks, which were in reality,an embarrassment for the American government.

This is just idiocy at its best. I mean, sending a kid away for making a sarcastic comment, even having an entire trial over it. Why not devote some of that time to actually solving the important cases. Sheesh...

The heart is a relatively risky organ to eat. You've got to be sure to cook it first, as it's one of the first places to develop bacterial and parasitic infections following death.

Usually just best to follow the example of predators and just go for the gonads first.

Clearly, we need to enact a licensing program to make sure our cannibalistic sociopaths are properly educated so as not to spread disease.

I don't even know how to react to this... :| That would be an extreme overreaction for something that obviously was not meant to mean anything.
