why is he being promoted all the time? i mean not the manga nor the anime are close to the time skip...this is just making us hyped for something that will take alot of time to happen

Why would you just assume the time skip isn’t coming up anytime soon? I hope your not expecting Naruto longevity here, that’s not their plan apparently. The only reason to tease something like teen boruto especially in the middle opening is cause it’s coming soon. I’m getting the feeling them as kids is just more of a recap of his life up until that point he fights kawaki, so it probably won’t be that long

What if they go to the time skip era early and as things unfold there there's more flashback arcs that foreshadow or explain the current arc in the time skip present.

Well his fight with Kawaki might not be the end. This could just be like halfway through. Kind of like they did at the beginning of Shippuden when we started with Team 7 searching for Sasuke in Orochimaru’s hideout before they flashed back to Naruto coming home.

When that happened, we had to watch the bell test part 2, the Deidara VS Gaara fight, Sakura and chyo VS Sasori before we even got back to that scene. And then there was plenty more after that .

So it could be something like that
