Get lost. Chakra is physical it has physical atribuites. Density, temperature, colour even smell. It abides by naturals laws. Burns freezes drowns etc. Depending on situations.
Seals dont ****ing have any commmon sense behind it. They just ****ing seal. Is it ninja is it biju is it amaterasu or even juubi.
If seals would use chakra to imprison chakra then it would be the easiest thing to counter them

Actually Amaterasu has not been able to burn "pure chakra" so far in the manga. Now elemental jutsu is a different story. I'll give you two example and you can take them how you want.

Ex 1 itachi vs sasuke Amaterasu clearly burns thru sasukes fire ball jutsu. Amaterasu burning fire a element.

Ex 2 kankuro was able to remove armor that was engulfed with black flames with chakra strings. The flames clearly didnt burn the chakra strings or he wouldn't have been about to remove the armor. Kankuros chakra strings are pure chakra. They have no elemental influence.

Same goes with that guys post about jiraiya extinguishing the flames with a seal that was performed by pure chakra grabbing the flames.

Doesn't change the fact that its chakra based, Just like Ftg seals. I didn't know chakra had a melting point.If so please tell me. Last time i checked chakra can be turned into fire(*insert fire tech here, your choice*) and yet its reabsorbed as chakra (Blocking Technique Absorption Seal)

Clones are chakra based too. Temperature rips them to shreds.
What happens if you set a scroll on fire that has seals on it? The seals are destroyed.
What happens if a FTG kunai falls in the lava? The seal engraving melts - i.e. the seal is destroyed.

I'm not arguing about itachi and itachi has nothing to do with any of my posts in this thread. He's not even apart of the topic im discussing( whether chakra can melt

Amaterasu didnt come into contact with seal or chakra strings. The seal simply sucked fire in. What mechanic it used. I dont know, but dont make it up to fit ur agenda cuz neither u do.
Seals for me do have powerful spiritual portion so to speak and use chakra for activation only.

No sir. You need to go re read that fight. Before sasuke was on the ground which was when he used blaze release. The flames were clearly on the rib cage of susanoo.

Im not kishi ofc, but:
Its his chakra, and its enton (there should be some destinction). A wasnt hurt by his armour as well.
Most likely it radiates from sasuke and his susanoo rather then consumes like offensive amatereasu.

EDIT: You're correct. It's clearly on the ribs. It probably only burns things that don't have the chakra signature of the user

Yes it appears to be chakra. It changes nothing thou. Why didnt jiraya just use raw chakra to erase amaterasu? Why dont itachi seal shit w/o totsuka?
Even death reaper seal u use chakra to summon/activate it but its not chakra that seals things. U use chakra to activate so6p gourd but its not chakra that seals ginkaku.
Consider seal as if magic encripture that uses chakra to get power, just like software uses electricity to run. Nor electricity alone nor just chakra has power on its own to accomplish things.

Not to mention there are far to different sort of seals in this manga. Many of them have different objectives and aplications, all of them take chakra to operate. Chakra itself is nothing, its just an energy. Seals are whats important.
