Technically , Danzo could control the power of Gedo Mazo (My first Naruto thread)

no he could not.. the only reason obito could control the gedou is because he was uchiha and litterally half of his body was made uup of hashirama DNA

Technically speaking Danzo could control the power of Gedo Mazo . He fulfils most of the requirements by having both Senju and Uchiha DNA as stated by Obito

And Madara's last words explained how Obito even though not having the Rinnegan could control the statue's power because Madara gave him Senju DNA

What do you think ? Would he be useful in the war if Sasuke had not driven him to death ?


PS/edit: I see some people are confusing summon with control. I stated that if he could control the power. I.E : In a scenario where Obito summons Mazo to prepare for IT and Danzo happens to be there. Can he be helpful by restricting or controlling the GM movents/power or is he too weak and old to do that ?

I never stated he could summon it. Based on what Madara said to Obito about Senju + Uchiha cells making it possible to control the statue's power even without awakening the Rinnegan I argued if he could or couldn't control GM like Obito did before implanting the Rinnegan. Did you read the manga scan i provided ? Please read the upper panel

yes, I agree with the general Idea of your theory

there's also 2 more points
1. tobi is better at controlling hashirama cells IMO, he said to kona that danzo was a weaker version
2. I wanted to mention with out Rinee eye you can't summon gedo, so that comes first

Oh god there are two many misconception here.

1. In order to use Gedo, you need the rinnegan to break the seal.
(Madara did that already)

2. You need either uchiha/senju or rinnegan (better even both) to control and summon the Gedo statue.
(With uchiha/senju you have better control)


3. Danzo can't use Gedo mazou because he does not have uchiha kekkai genkai and he can't control Hashirama's cells.
All he can do is manipulate the kyuubi.

Discussing those other points of course Obito is worlds better at controlling Hashirama cells, he controlled them without even training and his Senju shell was cultivated directly from the Mazo . Okay as i said i never claimed he could summon it without the Rinnegan. I only asked opinions since Madara stated having Senju + Uchiha cells meets the requirements of using the statue's powers. Oh and here is the Manga scan where Tobito says Danzo's control of Hashirama cells was inferior and his Izanagi wasn't the complete form.

as provided in the original thread. Obito already used the Mazo's power to create 100.000 Zetsus prior to having the Rinnegan. Im still reluctant about Danzo having the capacity to do that though.

Anyways its just Obito saying to Kabuto he used the sealed bijuus power inside the Mazo to create 100.000 Zetsus which also delayed his plans about the war because too much chakra from bijuus was needed.
