How my heart weeps tonight.
For what I do not know.
Nor do I know for whom.
The pain is real.
It is raw.
Tears fall listlessly from my eyes.
They land on the ground one after another.
There they will remain, forever part of the roughened surface.
Here I cry.
Here I weep.
Here my soul screams out.
In the privacy of this moment I feel so much.
Emotions churn within me like a raging storm.
Oh to set loose this unbidden flood!
My heart it aches, but not for myself.
My tears- they fall, but not for me.
It is torment to know nothing of these things.
No reason. No cause. No answers for why such tears fall.
And they fall- one after another.
Unbidden and unchecked do they fall.
I am powerless to stop them.
