Obito doesn't need the barrier, he can deal with any attempts to redirect them by engaging in CQC (since you gave him manga intel, I still don't think Hashirama could have saved the alliance anyway)

Though they could take it now that Minato has prep, Shinju is still the only problem.​

Shinsuusenju behind + Kurama avatar at the midfield and Wood Golem at the front, with Naruto's versatility , he makes a Rasengan barrier, the rasengans are in the hand of SS and it can stomp Obito with multiple Rasengan barriers, while Wood Golem attacks Juubito with Kurama avatar behind him, potential of taking Bijuudamas in Golem's hand with Mokujin no Jutsu.
Mokuryuu Dragon and Kurama takes care of Juubidamas for deviations.

Juubito releases the Shinju and it obliterates them. Naruto was caught and drained in canon, and if it's released the same distance as before, he has no chance of evading it. With the SA not being here for Juubito to deal with, he can focus all of the Shinju's roots on Hashirama and Naruto, and Minato in the second scenario. They die.
