It took Obito longer to be a chunin,thats all All 3 were about the same age. Kakashi was advance in His training and Skill Obito was slow especially for an Uchiha and Rin was average.

You all are forgetting one thing. It wasa different time in the narutoverse than what we grew up in. The chuunin exam rules weren't the same,meaning maybe chuunin's could take the chuunin exam with their teams in order to possibly prove they've improved to jounin level and get promoted. Thus its a chuunin and jounin exam.

Therefore they are all the same age, kakashi just became a chuunin before the team was formed, then Rin and obito graduated and were put in a team with kakashi. He took thechuunin exam wwith them and became a jounin around the time after they became chuunins. Just my hypothesis of how it could work without making a lot of plot holes. I could easily be wrong though.

Kishi contradicts himself on this one. The manga (particularly chapter 599) contradicts the databooks. I guess you can call it a retcon, and it's been discussed over and over.

You're misreading the timeline...

-Kakashi becomes genin (age 5)
-Kakashi becomes chuunin (age 6)
-Kakashi on different squad until age 9/10
-Rin and Obito become genin age 9/10
-Team Minato forms all characters' age 9/10

Kishimoto said one thing in the Databooks, but another in the Manga - he made a mistake. More exactly, the whole Chapter 599: "Obito Uchiha" was full with mistakes.

Hayate and Anko at the time should have been two to three years old, but look at them. . . they look the saem as the others. Ebisu and Ibiki are older than Kakashi, Obito and Rin, but the they entered the Ninja Academy along with them. . . ? Maybe. . . but Genma and Raidō, who are four to five years older than them entering the Ninja Academy with them when they should have entered years ago. :erm:

They didn't do a good job covering it up. I can still see the outline and everything for Minato, I wish Kishi and them didn't rush things..
