Attacks of hearts are countered by 360 degrees of vision and Gai/Lee's awareness and reaction timing. Long range attacks and gentle fist strikes would kill hearts, tentacles would only make Neji kill Kakuzu easier and can be blown and ripped by gates.

Hidan gets diced by strings which Tenten have loads in her arsenal. Neji can analyze his curse -even though they probably know in manga intel- and lead others for decapitation.

This, pretty much. It's also worth mentioning that with Manga intel, they can possibly blitz Kakuzu before Domu goes up.

Team Gai mid difficulty at most. With manga intel Neji and lee deal with Kakazu, would be easy for them to pinpoint and take out his hearts plus haven't seen anything to make me thing he can keep up with them. Especially a gated Rock Lee, same for Hidan and Gai. Don't even think the need tenten but it just adds more to it being in their favor.

Really don't see them having as much trouble as team 7 did.

Team Gai wins low-mid difficulty. Gai alone could possibly solo depending on how strong a fresh current Gai is.

Neji has potential to solo Kakuzu. I mean it.
