Gaara/Kazekage retrieval Arc
Hiden and/or Kakazu Arc. It's officially the Akatsuki Supression Arc, but the name is rarely used because it doesn't give a great idea of what it's referring to.
Round 1: Gai comes out a bit exhausted though the prep time should be enough for him to recover.
Kakashi has no hope of beating Gai because his Sharingan and chakra pool were super restrictive back then. At best, he pushes Gai to the 7th Gate. 7th Gate Gai could yeet Madara's susanoo(not PS, but beyond the ribcage) and that seals the win. The Kage Summit and War Arc revealed that most Kage probably wouldn't be able to do so, and Gai sacrifices no speed for that power.
Round 2: Team Kakashi wins largely because of Sasuke, but it's really hard to tell how much they would suffer.
Hebi Sasuke is deceivingly strong and could handle any 1v1 with low/mid-dif, the problem is understanding how the fight would actually play out. Sasuke and Neji would be the leaders of their teams, so the fight would have to obey their thoughts.
There's multiple reasons to believe Sasuke would want to group. He likely has a weak grasp on the strength of all the others, thus he'd limit potential losses by keeping his group close. He'd also know that Neji's eyes make Team Gai more suited towards a dispersed fight. Same goes for Neji. Neji would also prefer grouping after he quickly learns that Sasuke could smack anyone in a 1v1.
Now that they're grouped, the next question would be to ask how they approach this. Sasuke understands that Neji could probably see through most of Naruto's tricks, and, based on her part 1 showings, it'd be a safe assumption that Sakura would be incapable of harming any enemy except for Tenten. With his trash team, I think it'd make more sense to capitalize on the weaknesses of Team Gai rather than the strengths of Team Kakashi. Team Gai's 2 best fighters NEED to be in close range, therefore Sasuke's plan/offense would occur during close combat.
Neji's only win condition is to get a numbers advantage against Sasuke, thus they'd have to pick off one of Team Kakashi's members. Sasuke is too strong and Naruto is too resilent, so the obvious is Sakura since he didn't know she had Byakugo's healing. It's also just smart to kill the medic first.

I cant go further without writing paragraphs of fanfiction, so I'll just give what I think eventually happens and the ramifications of what happens. Realizing that his team is safe from afar, he'd probably make his team use their summons to squash Team Gai. He'd pretty much find out Team Kakashi's most relevant strength by identifying Team Gai's most relevant weakness.
It's likely Sasuke comes out unharmed, BUT Hebi Sasuke's chakra pool was a bit constraining. Odds are his chakra would've dipped quite a bit. Naruto's chakra is definitely fine, only concern is his health but he has Kurama anyways, so he's largely fine. The real question is about Sakura's health. For convenience, I'll just assume that her chakra is super low and she's battered.
Round 3: Team Kakashi or Kurama wins.
This is a war of attrition in the BEST case scenario for Guy, and he's not outlasting Team Kakashi. Worst case scenario for Team Kakashi is that Gai kills someone, and Naruto/Kurama wins the battle for them through Kurama's powers.
air palm wouldn't do much to Team Kakashi imo. Neji would have to be in CoC to be at his most effective. I just don't know how Tenten contributes to this fight. her weaponry says she should be very useful if she stays behind Neji and Lee, but her lack of feats(ones without the sage tools) makes it hard to understand where she falls. Where would you even place tenten among k12? For Lee, I imagine that he could probably spank Naruto and Sakura, but they'd be grouped. I guess it'd be up to Sasuke to counteract Lee since he's probably the only one quick enough to respond to Lee's actions, then neji would attack Sasuke while he's preoccupied. If hax isn't restricted, Sasuke's goal may be to paralyze Lee with his lightening.
Wakashi if Gai don't know about mangekyou... Remember Gai counter to sharingan? He look at teh feet of sharingan user to avoid genjutsu...this dont save him from kamui snipe... gates take time to open wakashi can snipe him b4 he open it and he can keep up with gai normal speed
Round 2: Naruto should fight Lee, Saskey vs Neji and Sakura vs 1010... lee only threat is use his gates but Naruto coon can make 1000 clones nd outlast Lee...using gates have a very short time limit and its really only good for one attack so naruto coon can use clones to tank teh hits and rasengan lee when tired....
Saskey have good battle sense and he know Neji is close range fighter...he have many ways to beat neji...first he can use kunai like kidomaru to work out rotation weak point...second he could see color of neji rotation chakra with his sharingan to spot teh gap in his defense...third he can spam katons or extend his chidori to attack neji from a distance and neji cant spin forever...fourth he could use katon to teh clouds to set up kirin and zap him...

even deidara could react to kamui. its speed was super slow back then and made kakashi immobilized. gai would only have to notice/feel the distortions on his body then move away from them.

The user mustbbebfastbenough to use it or get blitzed by tens of Juubilings. She also has feats against same Deidara who felt he couldn't escape Team Gai. If she could pressure the guy who casually dodged Gaara from up close, she's clearly fast enough. Granted she was part of a team.

lol ok, i admit to being biased towards Sasuke's perspective. Sasuke and Deidara's speed aren't very comparable though. During Sasuke's first attack on Deidara, he approached Deidara head-on and started multiple meters away. By the time Deidara reacts, Sasuke is about 3 feet away from Deidara at most. Then there's 2 blindsides, one Deidara was expecting in advance because he knew Sasuke had him under genjutsu, and the last where Sasuke succeeded because Deidara wasn't prepared for it. You also need to keep in mind that Team Gai fought a substitute Kisame.

Clearly Deidei underestimated Sasuke. Deidera reacting to the sand of Gaara from a few metres puts him leagues ahead of Sasuke in speed. Since avoiding Gaara started with a ground based reaction, we cannot say that Sasuke genuinely pressured him at any point.

Not WA version, but she still has the physical stats. With the chakra to swing that Fan, she can launch a forest of explosives and such.

Proof Shoten versions have poorer stats, besides chakra? Gai needing the sixth gate is what has me convinced
