Even Asuma needed a fuuton kunai in order to decapitate him. Nothing suggests Neji has the physical strength to decapitate someone.

Doesn't matter. Read Cat's post. Neji could use this to battle hidan similar to how Kakashi did and then counter attack. Surely a kunai is taking off his head. Just because Asuma used a fuuton chakra blade doesn't mean a kunai can't take Hidan's head off.

Zabuza decapitated Gato with a kunai (in his mouth and near dead !).

Nobody in team Gai is able to put Hidan down and only Neji is capable of harming Kakuzu.
The gates' drawbacks eventually will allow Akatsuki to take over.

No intel hurts Team 10 more then team immortals. A Taijutsu based group with no intel is in Hidans favour. With Kakuzu and his hearts to worry about, team 10 will loose.

Neji possibly solos this;

-Kakuzu's threads are controlled by chakra, which Neji destroys with Gentle Fist like he did with Kidomaru's webs
-Neji's 360 degrees of vision prevents surprise attacks from the masks or threads from belowground (he will be able to react in time)
-Kaiten counters all of Kakuzu's elemental attacks
-Domu can be broken with Gentle Fist since it's made of chakra
-Hidan can be dealt with through a quick succession of air palms

Edit: Nah, Neji doesn't solo but Team Gai definitely wins

Hirudora can't be used in quick succession. After he destroys one of Kakuzu's hearts team Gai will lose its strongest fighter for a while but the Akatsuki will be at full strenght.
Huge disadvantage.
