Intel: Tema Gai has every knowledge Konoha gained on Hidan.
Hidan knows Team Gai has 2 cqc masters and one weapon user.

You are overrating Neji...

Hidan already prooved he can tank-dodge (IDK if he tanked or dodged) Kakuzu's giant wind atack, wins isn't doing shit to Hidan... Also Hidan is pretty fast being able to rush Kakashi in a CQC combat, so what makes you think Neji could block Hidan's chakra system if Hidan really outclasses Nejii in CQC, who struggled with a zetsu clone while Hidan was on par with kakashi

Hidan was able to live and speak with his chakra system blown to bits, i think its safe to assume that he can function even with the Gentle Fist style active,
