Tsukyomi or dusk crow is all he needs to win
I hate it when people make it look like Itachi can put 4 people under genjutsu or survive the attacks of 3 after using Tsukuyomi.
He couldn't dodge 2 fu cking shuriken and you think he can survive the onslaught of Choji?
If kakashi and naruto couldn't even handle a fraction of itachi
May i ask what shuriken your referring to?
lol.
The ones Sasuke threw at him after Tsukuyomi was broken and Itachi suffered backlash.
Your referring to a Uchiha which is fact that they can break out of it. What evidence do you have that team asuma have the resistance to break out this calibur of genjutsu
Oh, they can't.
One of them dies to Tsukuyomi for sure, but the other 3 still kill Itachi during the backlash from using Tsukuyomi.
Thing is, Asuma already has knowledge on it, so will he even get caught?
Shikamaru uses kage mane on Asuma without restraining his movements. While Asuma and Itachi are close enough, Shikamaru extends the kage mane to catch him, Ino uses mind transfer to take control of his body and Asuma cuts his head off with hien an instant after Ino come back to her original body. The rest aren't needed
There is no backlash from using Tsukuyomi, only from having it broken.
That's BS and you know it.
The Mangekyou strains your eyes regardless of you hitting with your jutsu.
Why would someone breaking your genjutsu ( mental feat ) affect you physically?
Furthermore, in part 1 Kisame said that using Tsukuyomi also hurts Itachi. The only reason it didn't cripple him was that Itachi was way healthier back then.
Doesn't matter if he moves or not. All Asuma has to do is to enter close range with Itachi. After that, it's self explanatoryItachi is obviously a stationary object in your scenario.
OT: itachi has the feats to blitz these guys with Taijutsu and Shuriken alone even in his sick state.
The only way team asuma can hope to win is if they have alot of prep
Right after its broken Itachi collapses holding his eye saying "My Tsukuyomi...you" If there was backlash from using the technique, that would have happened as soon as he used it, not coincidentally right after it was broken.
The Mangekyou straining your eyes isn't equivalent to you collapsing on the ground.
If there was some backlash from using the technique, it wouldn't matter how sick he was, cause that kind of backlash would be present regardless, especially since he used it twice in a row.

It's not as if Tsukuyomi time translated into real time. What happened in the illusion took seconds in the real world.
We've seen it happen before.
It makes no sense for a mental feat to affect his eyesight and his body. What difference does it make, if the victim escapes genjutsu? Why would that deal extra damage to Itachi?
It's not as if Sasuke reflected the damage back at Itachi, he simply escaped Tsukuyomi.
Twice in a row? Didn't he use it against Kakashi and then against Sasuke?
There was a large time frame between the two.
I suggest you to follow your same logicRead the manga and analyse how Itachi fights before commenting again.
The scenario you dreamed up will not work here.
The only MS technique that is known To have a recoil effect Is amatarasu. I know what you mean when you mean back lash but we have never seen the users state when someones in tysukyomi because the scan always shows us what the victim is experienceing. An example
You must be registered for see links
In this scan he uses KA which is classed as an MS tech. As you can see, there is no recoil. The only thing we see is his eye bleeding. Itachi doesnt spam it so it wont affect him as badly as it does sasuke.
I suggest you to follow your same logic
Itachi's fighting style is suited for 1vs1 configuration. He is fighting many opponents here
1- Itachi is definitely not defeating Asuma in a direct close range combat without diversions, said Asuma who was capable to handle Kisame in close combat without too much problems even forcing him to use ninjutsu instead. CQC is Asuma's speciality
2- Itachi tries genjutsu on one while some others would be attacking him from behind or other sides, when some would be staying backwards. If he gets hit, it breaks the genjutsu, even if not, the ones who stayed backwards could easily free the one affected by genjutsu and thus making the genjutsu strategy worthless
3- Tsukuyomi is close range, so would need to close the range in order to affect someone, which is dangerous considering my kage mane strategy. And even if he manages to, the fatigue due to the strain of the technique leaves him open for an attack coming from the one who are supposed to be behind him or in other sides
4- Amaterasu requires prep for him as well due to his limited stamina. It leaves him open for an attack coming from the ones who are supposed to be behind him or in other sides during the fight
5- Throws kunais on people who can move on their own and not immobile targets so easily dodged
6- And i didn't even mention BM Choji in this scenario that practically nothing in Itachi's arsenal could put down in this scenario, or at least not that easily
What else would he do? He would be overwhelmed and defeated in the end. It's exactly what you were saying. Itachi isn't fighting stationary objects
