This art style is different from Kishi's, which doesn't automatically make it worse, but it would have been easier to adjust to if Kishi hadn't drawn Team 7 for Gaiden. Their eyes all look weird - Sasuke looks like he's squinting for crying out loud!

I'll list them from worst to "less terrible"

Sasuke - how can anyone screw with the trademark Uchiha hair? And he looks like he needs glasses! No, just...no.

Naruto - lost the angular lines of his face structure and the confidence/kindness that I'm using to seeing in his facial expression.

Sakura - her eyes look creepy, and she looks too young.

Naruto looks roughly the same, Sakura's face is... ugh (though to be fair, it's a low-res pic)... But I like that hair on her. Sasuke's hair, on the other hand, is just... why :NO:

Naruto doesn't look very different.

Sasuke and Sakura went from the best looking characters to looking worse than Naruto who is below average. :lol

Sakura's pic is a zoom out though so it lacks detail which could show in another closer pic (pupils for example), Sasuke got it worst.

that would be the ranking....... I feel Kishimoto made his drawings a lot more pointy and sharp at the ends especially....this new author is making them more roundish and soft........well Naruto is acceptable but the rest of them are bad.....maybe when we get a better quality scan they might appear better.....age effect on every character maybe.....but even if we compare from Boruto: the movie then too these seem to be like aged at least 20 years

Naruto looks the same, just his head shape is different and he looks like he gained a bit of weight. Sakura looks like a 70's model, that's close to getting her career on jeopardy and Sasuke is the opposite of good looking, though at least he looks like MJ...if he still retains his ******* attitude like in my sig, then I would be fine with him.

They don't have Kishi's expressions, we are not used to see them in manga. I don't know what to expect from a different mangaka, but for sure i wish him to Not ruin the characters... Can he do that? I also understand and respect Kishi's need for his freedom from a hard work. This makes me to not want to:

Sakura without make up looks horrible. Naruto's fine and Sasuke's new hairstyle doesn't suit his personality. I want a new artist...

Agreed. Since we aren't going there for visuals, it might be the opposite, and surprise us with the story. Though honestly, a good half of it looks like redrawn panels of the Boruto Movie. So if they are making the Movie in Manga form, despite the fact that a large majority of us have seen the Movie already. Not sure how that is supposed to grab us and make us feel interested for the chapter afterwards. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Either way by the looks of it, their dynamic is nothing like the old generation, so we shouldn't be seeing setbacks. Especially with the female pool, at least in Team Konohamaru's section. Wanting to become Hokage is like plot 101 strength boost from start to finish.

I hope so, I wanna see them consistently slay, there's no excuse, your parents are around and already set you off at a level they were not in academy days lol

Edit: About the little sword/knife. I just remember Sakura always technically sported a tanto in her early shippuden days I think in her back pouch.
