Sasuke's mission with the Ootsutuki didn't start until Salad was around 8, so no excuses when he was still off on his self-pity journey. Sasuke even admits in the anime that he doesn't want to raise Salad or be involved with her because of his own concerns and is even fine with Salad hating him for it.

Naruto is the 7th hokage and the strongest Kage alive, he’s shaped the way shinobi live and still spreads peace to this day not to mention his son is a genius, and he’s happily married to the Byakugan princess and has mastered his tailed beast.

Sakura is the strongest medical ninja and kunoichi on the planet currently (deny it all you like it’s facts) one of the only people on the planet to inherit the Byakugō, she runs a mental health clinic for children and is affiliated with Konoha hospital frequently and raised a keen Sarada up all by herself and they arguably have the best parent-child bond amongst the rookies.

Sakura doubting herself is called being human and being humble, the mere fact that Sarada defected the way she did and broke down in tears simply means she didn't do something she should've done as her mother.
