Team 7's losses ocurred before they became a team:

Kakashi lost his mother at a young age, his father committed suicide, Obito "died" (or at least Kakashi thought so), Rin died, Minato/Kushina died.

Naruto lost both parents on the day of his birth, was hated by the village, and years later lost Jiraiya.

Sasuke lost his whole clan.

Sai lost his brother.

Team 7 experienced enough loss already. They were accounted for. At least team 8's "loss" was a happy one (Kurenai had a baby).
