Yes and no.

They had passed the test of kakashi for a team work, most others probably wouldnt.
They have worked as a teamwork in crucial moments, land of waves arc alone shows huge team work, chunin exam too.

It true that while danger isnt around they werent acting like best friends, it has next reasons:
Naruto>Sakura>Sasuke love triangle.
Sasuke vs naruto rivalry (healthy at first).
The rivalry is what got the problem, sasuke was overtaken by revenge and naruto's growth partially pushed him there.
Despite all this none of them truly hated another, and narto/sakura still wanted to save sasuke.

Yeah sasuke and naruto fought among themselves out of pride and when sasuke was crazy he wouldnt mind killing them, but in the end sasuke/naruto overcame indra/ashura hatred.

I dont find them worse but they had extreme difficulty unlike others.

this will be my first controversial thread meaning there will be some of you saying i am a idiot or something worse but this is what i came on the base for discussing Naruto topics ecspecially if they get your attention. I have made a few threads but i always tried to make them not so controversial but i dont get enough topics coverd because i am holding back my true thoughts on the subjects. i am not going to do that on this thread.

Basically i am saying team 7 is the very worst team they where always fighting each they barely got along. one of them is an international criminal who is a hated by the majority of the ninja world and tried to KILL each one of his teammates including his sensei.

None of the other teams are like that just team seven.

to me these guys are the worst team in there village.

It was only at the start of the first arc when they first became a team that they were like that. Afterward, they valued each other's lives like family worked as a team. Sasuke leaving and attacking them afterward doesn't count because he was no longer a part of the team and had developed an inferiority complex and became self driven due to Orchimaru and Itachi's traumatic influences.

the reason i say they are the worst has nothing to do with their strength its their nonexistent relationship as a team. its kinda hard for me to count recent events though since it is near the end of the series. But for all we know sasuke could pull his 50th 180 and come attack naruto.

As for an over all team and working like one, I'll actually agree. They almost never got long. Not even when Sasuke was gone, they still fought and never worked together. It took forever for Naruto to be okay with Sai. Strength does NOT mean a good team or teamwork. So, yeah, I agree. Compared to the rest of the teams, they're awful.

well their team did have a love triangle at its center. & a kid who watched his entire family get massacred, and one that's been alone since birth. they had their own demons to bare. any one of those things alone would make teamwork difficult, let alone all 3.

it can 50/50 either way . sometimes by not showing their emotions and friendship it doesn't interfer in getting the mission completed,in a way the argueing and bickering actually gives them momentum thus they do better

Naruto and Sakura get along very well. They're like Jiraiya and Tsunade. Sakura has always had a soft spot for Sasuke, who does actually care about her from the looks of it. Naruto and Sasuke are like Kakashi and Obito, their egos get in the way of them getting along.

That being said they band together in times of need, dysfunctional as they may be. They're really a lot like a family.
