Team 10 - Hidan/Kakuzu scenario

I wouldn't call this a vs really so much as a what-if so I apologize in advance if the mods feel this is a vs thread.

My question is do you think Asuma would have fared better had he had team 10 with him when he confronted Hidan and Kakuzu rather than Izumo and Kotetsu? Obviously Asuma had to die to develop team 10 but I think they would have fared better. Asuma could have fought Hidan while Ino-Shika-Cho tried to get Kakuzu long enough to mind transfer into then use him to help beat up and immobilize Hidan.

I mentioned Asuma still dies, see the bold. The question was could they do better than the team Asuma had.

Kakuzu wasn't fighting hard either the first fight.....In scenario one with such a close space they all get one shotted with anyone of Kakuzu's jutsu really bar Raiton, as they had no intel, no defensive moves and no way to realize what was happening like Kakashi did (pre-cog)

I think that if the trio fought hidan since he could be restrained against them through the shadow possession jutsu. Asuma fought Kakuzu a better turn out would have happened. Atleast one of the members would have been hurt by Hidan to figure out his ability, Asuma lives. But, they had a strange way of showing their support for the young, such as sacrificing their strongest for the others to run and retreat. Like the way most of the Kages died by scarificing themselves and destabilizing the village temporarily.

Mind transfer would work only for a short period of time. You have to take out kakuzu first because he can fix up hidan if his heads cut off or anything. Choji is useless against hidan because his attacks are close range and hidan can easily get his blood. Therefor it would turn into choji and ino vs shikamaru and asuma in which case Asuma would still die since This was the same situation he was in previously. With that being said if they had full intel on the akatsukis capabilities then I think they could of beat hidan and get 1 heart of kakuzus
