He had a good final run and he was risking his life it would have been a good warriors death. Not to mention the fact that if he survives he'll never be a shinobi again since his foot disintegrates and taijutsu is all about speed I wonder how fast he'd be running on his nub

There is no need for him to die. I rather have them kill all the 5 kages or some other fodder characters. Despite, Guy probably surviving after Naruto giving him some life force. The fact is he is "Ninja" Wise dead. Kishi is smart in this sense. There is no "Springtime of Youth" anymore. There is no 500 push ups or pull ups. There is no walking around the village only using his arms. No more. Now he is confined to a bed or a walking stick. Guy is not a character i would have killed, after this he should probably be an inspirational speaker or teacher in the village teaching kids unable to use Ninjutsu. In summary, Guy still has a purpose instead of killing off the character unlike many more others Kishi can kill off.

I say let the man die an honorable death (even if in vain) instead of being revived by a snot-nosed spoon-fed brat.

Agreed. Having him survive completely eliminates the significance of everything he did leading up to the previous chapter, and all the build-up (which began mid-way through PART ONE, like 200 episodes ago) surrounding the Eight Gates.

Your post has enlightened me. Now i further believe Guy is going to survive. 'When writing Naruto, who is your target audience? "Kishimoto-sensei: First of all Children, in particular schoolboys in their second year of middle school. Even if I have to prostrate myself, please watch me! The feelings held by second year schoolboys in middle school are a real treasure."'
