*Richter also begins to smell the steel city.*
Richter: This smell...its the same as blood....but it comforts me.
*Richter takes Altair's muzzle off after hearing him trying to say something*
Altair: Richter, you are the future of the Belmont family.
I know not why you left...but might you consider visiting us more? The Ame villagers, the young lass, Juste-Sama, and myself, along with my brethren; we all miss you. Tell me, what if one day there is a war between the Sand and Rain; would you betray your homeland and the Belmonts just to prove yourself loyal to the Sand?
Richter: w-w-w-why, why would you ask me this, now?
Altair: Because, child. Your Father, he is too much of a coward to ask questions like this.
Richter: What?!
Altair: Yes, he is my supirior, but my master is long since dead. Now, boy, this is a VERY serious question, and it's time you answer it. I've watched you grow from a toddler to the fine shinobi you are today; I've shared your hardships and pain, for I've felt them all myself before. Now, tell me: would you betray your home, lineage, and EVERYTHING your ancestors fought to protect? Tell me: would you betray...her?
*Altair's words hit Richter like a punch*
Richter: I-I-I...you're right, I can't. I love Sunagakure, and I wouldn't hurt my friends, but she, and the Belmont family are what I live for. But this land...it's caused to much pain for me. I'd protect it in a war with my life, but Suna is my home now.
Altair: You've grown into quite a fine young man, Richter. I've seen countless Belmonts being born, and I've watched them all live and die in unique ways. But, you, Richter. You're so much different then all of them, and I respect you for that. I was there when you were born; "My son...the first Belmont in blue, he'll be better then all that came before him, one day". that's what your father said. And to be frank...I believe in that statment..
Richter: Thank you, Altair. And I will try to visit more, for it was somewhat selfish for me to leave, I suppose.
*The trio enter Amegakure and head towards the outskirts to the Belmont mansion*

*L felt like a third wheel as the bird and Belmont seemed to be having a deep heart to heart talk.*
"grrr, save me the emotional crap." L mutters under his breath. L had noticed that Belmont was quite a sensitive and emotional guy.. he was glad however upon eavesdropping in on the conversation that Belmont wouldn't let his emotions get too much of him if Suna ever went to war with Ame. Loyal to Suna Belmont was, and that was good.
They enter Ame undetected it appeared, L keeping quiet for the journey, allowing the Bird and Belmont to continue conversing and to the Belmont Mansion they proceed. L hadn't visited in awhile, but if he recalled last time the mansion was a beautiful spectacle to behold.

L surprised at Altair's apology is taken aback.
He didn't really know what to say .. he was in no mood to be forgiving the bird.. but taking a look at a hopeful Ritcher, he decides it would be best to accept his apology, or at least pretend to for now.

*As soon as the three hear that, a young beautiful woman runs out of the mansion, jumps onto Altair, and hugs Richter so tight that it looks like she's trying to choke him. Though, Richter hugs her back, just as tight.*

L watches this beautiful woman enthusiastically run and hug Belmont tightly. He wondered what the hug felt like.. he hadn't been hugged in so long. He had forgotten what it had felt like. The last time he had been hugged was by Watari when he had left Konoha and departed for Suna..

Belmont introduces L to the beautiful girl who had already figured was Maria.
"Oh so you're Maria, I've heard all about you." L pauses before answering her question. "I am currently living in Suna along with Richter here. However, originally I was from Konoha."

A man appears, Juste who ushers them in doors. Maria makes a remark about dinner, which Richter seems happy about as he slumps onto the couch. L wonders if Maria will be cooking the chicken that they'd come here for.
L surveys the room and notices that Altair, sparrow size had waddled inside. Now perched on Justes shoulder, he whispers something to him.

Oh dayum. Now Belmont knew his real name. This was just great. L opts to ignore Richter and gives Juste his attention instead.

Richter and I are heading to Konoha on our journey, and I was actually hoping to stop by and surprise him at the Wammy's house and say hello. I miss the old guy really.
