[Discussion] Tartaros' Devil Slayers

So in the most recent chapter, Devil Slayers are revealed. I honestly think that Hiro Mashima is overusing the Slayers. Dragonslayers was good. Godslayers was okay. But now Devil Slayers too? What's next? Fairy Slayers? Nine of them too..

I like the idea of devil slayers because there are actual Demons in the story, but I'm a bit confused, does that mean that God's do indeed exist in FT, if not that is the kind of slayer magic that is redundant and not devil or dragon slayer

If gods didn't exist in Fairy Tail, then why would they name a slaying magic after it?

I don't mind the Devil Slayers since it seems that type of magic will play an actual role in the plot since its strong against magic from the Book of Zeref. God Slayers on the other hand thus far have been useless and it seems their titles were only given as a way of saying they're really strong.

Why do you think there are 9 of them? There are 9 "members" but that doesn't mean they are all Devil Slayers. Only 1 has been revealed so far, the rest could be anything.
