Chapter 1: A New Beginning
On a soft quiet morning, the ocean air is blowing all around the town Celestial Town where the harbor is filled with sail boats, yachts and steamships. In the lower part of the town, there lives a girl who is soon destined for greatness and to go on an adventure across the world. “ My name is Emma Ainesworth, daughter of the king Vince Ainesworth and the Queen Merisel Ainesworth , we live in the lower part of town near the beach front where we have our own private beach, which we usually rent out to other people for private parties”. “Im currently at the age of ten, Im training with a local swordsman named Mathew Black Heart, he is also the General of the Royal Army of Celestial Town. Im not that great at swords fighting but I still try as harder as I can and never give up!”
Meanwhile…
As the airship flies though the air, it covers over the whole town, casting a eerie shadow over it. People start to look up as the dark, cold metallic battleship flies over towards the castle giving people a nervous feeling. The airship apon reaching the castle , chains begin to fall from the airship and lauch into the walls of the castle, shaking the ground as it tightens its grip on the concrete guards, as they do, several black cloaked men fly out of the airship and land on the frontal part of the castle grounds , their faces covered with white demonic masks and carrying bladed weapons on their backs or sheathed on their backs, as they run and confront the castle guards, defeating our men with little to no effort. In the castle Daddy and Mommy run into the safe room were we stayed while the assault accorded, but daddy with a voice of a savior told us “My wife and child… As much as I want to be with you, I am the king of this toen, and I will not stand for this and have to bring honor to our people!” with a stone cold face as he turned and about to exit the room, Emma runs to him grabbing his cape shouting for him not to leave, but he ignored her, as much as he loved his only daughter, he flicked his cape out of her grip and slammed and locked the safe door making sure no one can enter. “Squire I want you to make sure no one enters this room, no matter what” he told to his private body guard , having the man reply with a firm ok, taking full guard of the door. As the king moves from hall to hall where he makes his way into the main throne room, he finds the symbols of his town torn up and in flames , causing him to be enraged as he knows who is the culprit of this attack. “MAXWELLLLLL!,” King Vince shouted at the top of his voice, as he closes in on the throne, a dark skinned middle age fellow sat on the throne of Vince, with a demonic stare looking at Vince as he gets closer, it was Emperor Maxwell BlackHeart , the cousin of Vince. “Well if its my favorite cousin Vincci! How are you doing?” he asked with a evil snarl, “Damn it Maxwell I told you to stay away from my Kingdom! Uncle Jackson left his Kingdom to me and not you!”, King Vince replied with a hard , confident tone, “Ah that old feud? No Im not here for that, can’t I simply say hello? But knowing you for almost all my life I can’t even do that...Oh well no matter Im here on more important matters, Im here for Emma” Maxwell said with a firm speech, causing Vince to grinned his teeth and replying “WHAT? Leave Emma out of your bloody schemes! She has no purpose to be with you!” but this only makes Maxwell more determined in his mind to get his young niece. “Im sure you know about her…gift right?” Maxwell asked with a snaky tongue, causing a Vince to start shaking as it was a secret only known by him, the Queen, Emma and the royal advisors, Vince with a high, deep tone replied “Who. Told you about that?! Only 5 people knew about it!”, “Well let’s just say one of your advisors has been…dead for a couple months now…and a doppelganger took his place” Maxwell spoke in reply to Vince, only causing Vince to look at his advisors who stood, shaking in their boots as Maxwell and Vince spoke, except one specific man, Alexzander Grey, but this wasn’t the real Alexzander, as the man walked forward and turned his body into a blob and morphing into his true form, a young child , looking ever so evil and young, his dark green eyes and snaky mouth, he goes by the name Zal, the first commander of Maxwells army. “So you’re the one who…killed Alexzander?” Vince asked with disbelief in his mind, only to have the assassin nod his head in reply, “Zal is my personal helper in my kingdom, I assigned him to go and take the place of an advisor and get intel for the next three months until he finds who is the Shard Keeper of the Ainesworth Kingdom” Maxwell said, “And Emma is the keeper of the shard” Zal said with a hissy tongue. “So let’s make a deal here Vince old boy, If you surrender now, Ill spare your daughter’s life, but her shard will be extracted, and we will take your kingdom in the name of the Nether World, she will live in my kingdom as a personal slave and no harm will ever come to her, and her mother as well” Maxwell said in a truthful voice, as many know, Maxwell had a seal placed on his tongue by his uncle so he can never tell a lie , “We will also spare your wife, but in honor of your kingdom as its King, you will have to die…,” “You don’t have my wife or daughter Max so quit your bluffing” but without a moments wait, Maxwell snaps his fingers causing a bright blue flame to appear on the ground and out of the flames appears a seeker of Nether World holding two ladies, it was Merisel and Emma, causing Vince to fall on his knees and start crying “I…surrender…” he spoke, “Good now per…” “WAIT” Vince shouted cutting of Maxwell “You have conditions but allow me two as well… firstly that my daughter can at least reign one of the towns here as a duchess, I promised her for her 11th birthday to give her own town to rule over, and its only 4 days from now, and one more thing, allow me to pick my death” this last part causing the wife and daughter to watch in awe. “Hmm… every well ill allow her to live and reign over a small town here, but she will be under my kingdoms laws, and fine, ill honor your last request”. As Maxwell finishes his statement, he summons a scroll where he tells Vince to sign in his blood, causing the king to prick his finger alongside the edge of his longsword and placed it on the scroll where both terms of the two kings are agreed apon, though if one tries to break it, the Deal Demon who is much more powerful than Maxwell himself will claim the life of both parties. As the bell of the highest tower rang of noon, on the gallows, two men holding lances in their hands on both sides of Vince, where the entire towns people are gathered around looking on and crying as the king is about to make his last speech, “My dear followers… it’s a sad day… the Ainesworth Kingdom has been token over, and I must bide you all farewell as you all have the right to see a fool like me be slayed… Im sorry my people… I failed you all… but I must also tell you a secret that has been existing for years now, my daughter… is the Shard Keeper of our kingdom!(People shockingly gasp) but …” Vince stopped with a look on his face looking at Maxwell with a smile, “Emma no longer possess the Shard! It was extracted from her since she was five years old, and the new holder? Ill never tell, not even my wife knows, and all the doctors and mages that were hired to extract it was all killed before they had a chance, soo Maxwell, good luck finding the new holder” Vince smirked looking at a pissed off Maxwell, “KILL THAT MAN!” Maxwell barked loudly and without hesitation the lancers stabbed the lances into the body of Vince causing instant death, “Sir what will we do now” Zal asked with a displeased voice, but Maxwell with a calm voice simply laughs and says “Don’t worry the Infinite Wars will begin soon, the Shard Holder of this nation will be bound to appear before it full starts, then is when we will take it and move on with our plans for world conquest” Maxwell laughs as the men in his troops tear the town apart setting it on fire.
Maxwell then turns slowly looking back to the world saying “Welcome… to Tales of the Void”
