Tales of the Fourth War
Explanation: The Tales of The Fourth War will be stories of unnamed characters who take part in the battles of the fourth war that the manga skimmed over. The characters will for the most part be random, generic characters from all five villages and the samurai. ___________________________
Chapter 1: Division 2: Day 1: Nati
Nati is a Chuunin of the hidden mist who was placed in division two due to his talents with two small hammers he uses for weaponry. He is rather slow for a Chuunin and doesn’t have a particularly large amount of ninjutsu or genjutsu at his disposal. Chapter 1: Division 2: Day 1: Nati
*Kitsuchi is finishing his brief to the second division of the upcoming battle.*
Kitsuchi: After our jutsu flushes them out from under the ground, we charge and try to make the best of the element of surprise. Now, any questions?
*No one responds.*
Nati thinks: You extract and we attack? That’s too vague for there to be any questions. Then again, this is the close ranger fighter division..
Kitsuchi: Well if there’s no questions..
*Kitsuchi walks 30 meters away from the rest of his division. A young woman from the hidden stone follows him. After waiting for a while, they both raise their arms into the air and slam them into the ground, creating a volcano around 30 meters in front of themselves. The volcano erupts with thousands of white humanoid looking beings.*
Kitsuchi: Charge!!!
*Most of the division charges the falling mass of bodies on command, but Nati and a few other ninjas are frozen in place. Never in their wildest dreams would they have expected to be out numbered when all five great villages had formed an alliance.*
*After realizing he was one of the few shinobi still standing where he was Nati draws his hammers and leaps into the mass of violence.*
*When he , Nati finds a type of battle he has never seen. Kunai and shuriken are flying everywhere, hitting both friend and foe. Shinobi were using jutsu to try and bring down the strange white creatures that they were fighting but nothing was working. Some creatures were continuing to fight after being set ablaze or having their limbs severed.*
*Gathering his courage Nati charges into the throng and strikes the nearest enemy with a heavy blow with his right hammer. Assuming it’s defeated he turns and prepares another swing, but before he moves, a hand grabs him around the throat and begins to squeeze. It was the hand of the enemy he had just attacked with his hammer that he presumed dead.*
*Unable to fight back Nati’s vision begins to fade when suddenly the pressure is lifted from his throat.*
*Turning to look Nati finds a ninja with a burning sword slicing the creature in half.*
Blazing Blade: Don’t worry the leaf’s Blazing Blade has got your ba-
*Before he can finish the sentence he is hit by a stray kunai armed with an explosive tag and is blown up.*
*Blood splatters against Nati’s face and he freezes up. He had just watched the man who just saved his life die from a stray kunai that was probably thrown by an ally.*
*A nearby enemy notices Nati and begins dashing over to him. As the creature nears him Nati snaps out of his paralysis and smashes the creature in the head with his left hammer, knocking it to the ground. He then quickly follows up with a blow to the chest with his right hammer which kills it.*
Nati: These damn things take too long to kill!
*Nati turns to find 15 creatures charging him at once. Unable to do anything, Nati merely goes limp. Right before they reach him a voice cries out.
Ninja: Fire Style: Fire Ball Jutsu!
*The fire balls smashes into the sides of all 15 creatures and knocks them all down.*
Nati: Th-Thanks, I th-
Ninja: They’re not dead yet you idiot!
*Nati turns to look and the nearest creature is already upon him, burning alive. Nati barely manages to raise his right hammer to repel the creature away from him. He then slams his left hammer on the ground, opening a crevice which all the creatures fall into.*
Nati: Quick, use your fire style again!
*Ninja jumps over the crevice while weaving handsigns, he then raises his hand to his mouth*
Ninja: Fire Style: Fire Ball Jutsu!
*A large fireball comes out of his mouth and down into the crevice, blocking the only route of escape. As it enters the crevice Nati closes it, crushing all of the creatures alive.*
Ninja: Nice work.
Nati: You to, but look..
*As they look around they realize that they are now surrounded by the creatures.*
Ninja: You know, I never caught your name.. Mine’s Marane.
Nati: Mines Nati of the hidden mist.
Marane: Well Nati it was nice fighting alongside you.
*They then each charge in opposite directions. Nati meets the creatures and begins viciously swinging his hammers at anything that moves. He had fell around 10 when suddenly, a pair of arms grabbed his head from behind, and twisted, breaking his neck.*
